About this deal

As you’d expect with an ultralight tent, the Cloud Up 2 material is really thin. Mine hasn’t punctured or ripped yet, but I’m always very careful about clearing the pitch space of sharps before setting it up. And definitely use the ground sheet with the Cloud Up 2! The lightweight stakes included with the Cloud Up 2 are decent enough, but did eventually bend over time. Front vestibules: It makes the inner space larger, and personal hiking gear can also be placed in the front door area. Weather Conditions:High humidity, low temperatures, and rainy conditions create the most condensation.

Overall, the Naturehike Cloud Up 2 is a fantastic tent that puts portability, durability, and affordability at the forefront of its design. However, the most impressive award is the one Naturehike received at the International Trading Exhibition held in Nanjing in 2019. They won a golden award for being the Best Asian Outdoor Brand. The most important reason why we recommend this tent for any individual is its exceedingly low price. As a matter of fact, compared with other similarly designed tents, it is about one-third the price of its competitors. However, what’s more important is the value the Cloud Up 2 offers at an affordable price. Waterproof Camping Gear & Kit Repairs At Wood To Water, we consider keeping your kit dry and usable one of the most important things when out on the trail. We have a wide range of dry bags, waterproof map cases and waterproof material and waterproofing treatments like Nikwax, to keep your gear free from water and dirt. Read More With a waterproof coating of up to 3000mm, the Cloud Up 2 is slightly less water-resistant than the Cloud Up 1. That said, 3000mm is more than enough for most camping conditions, especially if you correctly pitch out the guy lines to prevent moisture from transferring to the inner tent.

The tent I have is getting old but still works great, but it's time to retire this tent. I really don't know how to write a review except for my experience with the tent and how it functions with me. I would love to have a new tent and sleeping bag because I've done wore mine out and don't have the money to replace them. With sloping walls, one door, and one vestibule I don't think this is an ideal tent for two independent adults. They might want to look at two-door two-vestibule options, Naturehike have a range such as Cloud-Peak 2, Star-River 2, and Mongar; and 3F UL with their Lanshan 2, Tipi, etc. There are 2 different materials that you can choose from when selecting your Cloudup 2 tent. It comes in a 210T Polyester or 20D Nylon. The nylon option can be a little bit lighter, but it stretches and sags when wet. The polyester will hold the shape better during rain and is said to be a little less waterproof. Caution: Attempt to cook in this area only if you have a small stove that is nice and stable on flat ground and you’ ve opened both the side panels for ventilation and escape routes. Never leave a stove unattended in this area!As mentioned above, the rain fly and floor are fully seam-taped, and PU coated, which gives the tent an overall PU rating of 4000 mm. This rating ensures that the campers inside remain dry in the most modest rainstorms. In addition, its 20D nylon also allows it to be heavy enough to withstand heavy winds, albeit for a short amount of time.

The Naturehike Taga 2 is a great option for long-distance hiking. It is set up with a single pole, so you save valuable weight when you’re on the trails.

Room and Storage: Excellent for one, the centre-ridge head space is good, the vestibule is big enough to store kit. There is a very handy overhead mesh storage basket which I use, and a ceiling hook for a light that I don't use. For two adults with kit, unless those adults snuggled up in the middle, I would find the sloping walls claustrophobic. Camping Hygiene & Comfort Whether you are out on a day hike or looking to go out into the wild for a few days, it’s important to keep yourself and your kit clean. Those home comforts that you can take with you can really help. Wood to Water have compiled some of our favourite camping clean and comfort items to keep you smiling when you are out in the wild. Read More >> There is also an additional vent to help reduce condensation, so it’s a much better choice for humid conditions. What Users Are Saying About This Tent IMPORTANT MODEL NOTE: I have an older, out-of-production version. The new (current) is about 150 grams heavier, has more pole structure at the rear, a ventilation flap, and mid-fin side guys.

If you want to avoid wasting your money on something that will just end up in a landfill, I highly recommend that you read this Naturehike tents review article. The newer version of the Cloud Up 2 tent has a vent to help reduce condensation. My older version does not have this vent. Despite this, condensation isn’t too bad of an issue in the tent because there is a sizable gap between the fly and inner tent. What attracted me to the Naturehike Cloud Up in the first place was its design. It’s incredibly similar (read: virtually identical) to the well-rated – but very expensive – Big Agnes Fly Creek. The design of the tent involves a single-pole construction. One pole fits together in a Y-shape and clips into the rest of the tent, making it freestanding. The Naturehike Cloud Up Tent, shown from the front Size & Weight SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT - This tent is insanely light at only 1560 grams! At the same time it has better waterproofing and is more snow resistant than it's polyester twins! The video below shows the Naturehike Cloud Up 2 in really high winds. It’s not my video, but it gives you a good idea. I have used the Naturehike Cloud Up 2 for every hiking trip I have ever done. The tent has YKK zippers and does not leak even in a heavy downpour. It comes with very strong aluminium stakes and all the guy lines are reflective so you can see them easily in the dark. It is easily taken down while staying dry. For its price, the Cloud Up 2’s design, material, and performance are more than reasonable. It’ll keep you safe and dry in bad weather, and it’s really easy to set up.
