About this deal

This is technically spoilers for Question 508, so feel free to skip this section if you want to avoid discussion of a particular question). Susan majored in English with a double minor in Humanities and Business at Arizona State University and earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Liberty University. She taught grades four through twelve in both public and private schools. Subjects included English, U.S. and world history and geography, math, earth and physical science, Bible, information technologies, and creative writing.

Pressman Toy Corporation released a series of 500 piece, 24" x 18", "mystery" jigsaw puzzles, each provided with a booklet of an original short mystery story. Readers assemble the puzzle to discover clues to match wits against Detective Shadow in a race to solve the crime. For example, you couldn't ask "Who's blood is on the floor?", as the reader's three possible response would not apply. If team 2 has failed to answer correctly, team 1 may supply one answer for their bonus, but without the aid of posing questions.

Inquiry Cards

Any question preceded by a diamond is designated an "inquiry card". This card allows the answering team to ask the reader any question they choose that will help them solve the problem. MindTrap is a series of lateral thinking puzzle games played by two individuals or teams. Invented in Canada, it is the main product of MindTrap Games, Inc., who license the game for manufacture by various companies including Outset Media, Blue Opal, the Great American Puzzle Factory, Pressman Toy Corporation, Spears Games and Winning Moves. There are six ears of corn in a hollow stump. If a perfectly healthy squirrel carries only three ears out each day, how many days will it take to empty the stump? and 17 = 9 [(Each number equal the number of letters in their spelling, i.e. 16 (sixteen) is 7 and 17 (seventeen) is 9.] A player from the other team draws a card from the box and reads the question out loud. The reader then flips the card over and reads the answer to themselves. The current team can read the question as many times as they want as they try to figure out their answer. When the team agrees on an answer they submit their answer.

There is an ancient invention still used in some parts of the world today that allows people to see through walls. What is it? MindTrap 10th Anniversary Edition (2001) - same as the original game but comes in a 10th Anniversary Edition tin. Answer: Drop the “S.” 10. You are in a room that has three switches and a closed door. The switches control three light bulbs on the other side of the door. Once you open the door, you may never touch the switches again. How can you definitively tell which switch is connected to each of the light bulbs? Great online store for board games. They always arrive perfectly and undamaged which is important to me.

End of the Game

Puzzles and brainteasers such as this are common in today’s game, but can you solve it? Read until the end to discover the answer! A Revived Quizzing Classic One team or individual marks their progress along the darker path and the other player along the lighter path. MINDTRAP can be played using a long or short version. See diagrams for alternative travel routes.
