About this deal

Disconnect the white cable from the circuit board and then remove the circuit board from the steering wheel tray by unscrewing the small silver screws, as in the video above. In terms of the pedals, only the brake feels different from the G29/G920. The G923 now has a progressive spring under the brake that makes it harder to depress the further you stomp on it (the G29/G920 has a rubber stopper, which is an effective but cruder solution to simulate the building hydraulic force of a brake pedal – although it creates a distinct two-stage effect where you can feel the pedal first hit the stopper). The clutch, brake, and accelerator pedal set is also essentially aesthetically identical to the G29/G920 pedals; the only way you could really tell the sets apart when looking at them is the logo printed beneath the brake pedal. The only difference is inside; the G923 replaces the rubber stopper under the G29/G920 with a new progressive spring that gets firmer as you depress it. It will convert the physics and engine audio into vibrations that vary in strength. The louder your engine and stronger the car physics, the stronger the vibration in your wheel will be.

At first glance, the pedals that are included with the Logitech G923 look absolutely identical to the old pedal set. That is other than the slightly changed Logitech logo that sits just under the pedals. Attach the spacer to the hub using the 6 large screws that were previously attached to the logitech cap. Tighten them but not too much, as the threads of the holes in the logitech base are plastic. Like others on this list, Hori offers two different wheels depending on the platform you're playing on. While the Hori Apex is for PS4, the Hori Overdrive is for Xbox One.Important: logitech steering wheels, compared to others, are more complex to disassemble. Modify your steering wheel if you're sure of where to put your hands. It's still a healthy level-up that makes the Logitech G923 perfect for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. But it's just as happy with the Xbox One, PS4 or PC. Make sure you buy the right version, though. There are separate versions for Sony and Microsoft consoles, and both types have the same "G923" name this time around. The Logitech G920 is pretty much the same as the G29 above, except it's for use with the Xbox One. The G29 is for use with the PlayStation 4. So what is different? Well, the G923 for Xbox, now includes the rotation dial and rev lights which were only present on the PC and PS4 version of the older G29. This brings a little extra functionality for Xbox racers. Despite the same appearance, Logitech says they have upgraded the pedal technology to make the potentiometer pedals a little smoother. Each pedal uses the same technology as before, however, Logitech has spent some time making the two-step brake pedal a little more fluid.

The goal is to add extra immersion to your sim racing experience and allow you to feel a stronger connection to the car you are driving. Does it work? Well, yes and no. This is noticeable when you compare the two-pedal kits side by side, with the new brake feeling ever so slightly softer and smoother across its movement range. All quests" in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have 2 versions because the devs wanted to include a story detail from the original JRPG Although, all in all, this isn’t a huge upgrade in terms of performance or quality. And most racers wouldn’t notice a difference between the two pedals. Unfortunately, at launch, this feature isn’t even supported in the majority of racing sim games. The only games that currently support this feature are Assetto Corsa Competizione and GT Sport. Predictably enough, then, the effect is halfway between the Logitech G29 and T300 RS. It’s smooth-ish, but not entirely, and you feel the effect of the geared motor as it pulls against you when you take a corner at high speed.Given the price, the results are great, though.

As a result, the Hori is also much lighter than any other wheel here. You’ll still need something to clamp it to, but this is the one wheel here that won’t seem hard done by if it’s not treated to a proper frame or wheel stand. Fanatec wheels are perfect if you're looking for a supremely accurate and immersive racing experience. Fanatec's options tend to be on the pricier side. But you'll usually get a lot of extra bells and whistles as a result. What is the best budget F1 racing wheel?

Next-gen racing gets a next-gen wheel

First you need to remove the original rim, and to do so I recommend following the step-by-step video tutorial above, but here are the main steps:

Unscrew the 6 front screws of the cap with the logitech logo and detach the front half of the steering wheel from the base. If you are working on a G29 please read the next step carefully The Hori isn’t. It rumbles when you drift, hit a barrier or car, or go over road markings, but you don’t have to fight with the wheel. There’s a little bit of resistance to turns, and the wheel rights itself when you take your hands off, but there aren’t motors in the base at war with your arms. If you're on a budget, then, we'd recommend either the Thrustmaster T150 or the Hori Overdrive wheel for Formula 1 and other racing sims. They're fantastic entry-level wheels that, unlike the Thrustmaster T300 RS, won't cost the earth. If you're on a tighter budget, fear not. The best racing wheels can be found across a wide variety of budget scopes, and we've endeavored to include both affordable and more premium setups. Still, it's worth thinking about the kinds of games you're going to play with a racing wheel. The best racing games that benefit most from a wheel setup are those with more realistic or sim-like elements.

If you already own the Logitech shifter, this new racing wheel is fully compatible. You can connect your shifter in exactly the same way you did with the old G29, and it will work out of the box. Whether Fanatec or Thrustmaster is the better racing wheel brand will ultimately come down to your personal tastes and budget. So, almost out of nowhere Logitech revealed their “brand new” racing wheel. This got many sim racers excited until… We all saw how the G923 looked. It looks identical to the G29! The Baldur's Gate 3 cast created community icon Bing Bong in their D&D campaign, and now the imp's been modded into the RPG as a summon Put the spacer in the centre of the hub, fixing it so that it fits tightly and with the ACELITH lettering straight and facing you.In the tutorial video the spacer is different: the one you received is better, don't worry :)
