I have been a chef since I left school. I have enjoyed cooking since I can remember, learning at a young age from my mum. We're looking for volunteers to help us co-ordinate some of our fabulous Christmas events. Can you spare some time and support the fundraising team this year? Our hospice community services enhance the care already available in the community and not everyone needs to visit the hospice itself. Many people prefer to stay at home or in their usual place of residence during their illness and this is where our nurses can support you. Living Well services The Resource Centre is a collaboration between expert research writers, clinical staff and service leads from across the hospice, providing practical and helpful information to support everyone who is learning to live with an end-of-life diagnosis and grief following a bereavement.

Without the support of the community, we couldn’t provide the physiotherapy or social work, the well-being relaxation classes, the specially made home cooked meals, the one-to-one social care, the bereavement support, the arts and crafts, the fun and laughter. Between 2 and 13 October, five local solicitors give you the chance to write your will for free and support Katharine House. I manage an extensive training/assessment, competency programme for staff to ensure they have skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care to highest of standards. It is important to me that our residents receive the best quality of life through daily fulfilment, excellent care and services and a home where they feel valued, respected, empowered and treated as a unique individual with their own wishes and choices, creating a home from home environment. It has been co-designed by parents with lived experience and a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to deliver specialised care to parents experiencing depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges in the first year of their baby’s arrival. At the hospice, we have ten beds, arranged in two spacious four-bedded bays (men and women have separate accommodation). The care is led by consultants in palliative medicine and specialist nurses.
