Gratitude: Embracing Thankfulness As a Way of Life - LinkedIn

Grinapol, Corinne (August 18, 2015). "Slate Expands Its Politics Team". www.adweek.com. Archived from the original on December 13, 2018 . Retrieved January 25, 2019. I believe we are living in extraordinary times. In fact, I just celebrated another birthday and it was awesome. I enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family. Most importantly, I was overwhelmed at the love, support and touching words that were shared with me on my special day. I’m grateful to know that my life is making a difference. This was a milestone year for me and I set very clear intentions for what I want the next half of my life to look like. I believe that if you do not design your life that you will live a life of defeat and frustration. The end of summer is fastly approaching and I hope that you are making the most of what you have left. It’s time to stop living life by default and start living life by design! Bouie, Jamelle (October 5, 2015). "New Bernie Sanders Polls Show He Could Win". Slate. Archived from the original on January 26, 2016 . Retrieved January 18, 2016.You have to stop ignoring the desire within you for a greater life. As we crossed over into 2023, I found myself excited but dissatisfied with some things in my life. First of all, I will say that I have been blessed more than I could ever imagine. I have been so fortunate to build a business and brand that has impacted people all over the world. However, I knew that it was time for the next level but I was apprehensive about it. I tried to ignore the desire but it only produced more dissatisfaction. Therefore, I had to make the decision to listen to the desire and to follow it. If you want this year to be different for you, then you are going to have to stop ignoring the desire for a greater life. Desire is a divine whisper alerting you to the life that is possible for you. Take some time to silence the noise, listen to your spirit and dare to pursue incredible possibilities and opportunities for your life. Desire ignored will ultimately result in destiny forfeited. 4 Rules for Living Your Greatest Life - LinkedIn

Who We Are". Slate. ISSN 1091-2339. Archived from the original on February 7, 2016 . Retrieved January 18, 2016. You have to dare to be extraordinary. I would be lying to you if I told you that my life was easy. It would be dishonest to tell you that you will not face pressure, opposition and even moments where you will want to quit. However, what I can tell you is that you were designed to live an extraordinary life. In the midst of challenges something within me would not allow me to settle or to become complacent. I knew that I was destined to do more and be more. In my darkest moments I was reminded that I was born to live an extraordinary life. How do you get to an extraordinary life? You will never get there taking the road of least resistance. You will never get there doing what is comfortable or convenient. The only way to get to an extraordinary life is to be pushed to your limits, to defy the odds, to surmount the insurmountable. The only way you get to an extraordinary life is by choosing not to do what is easy. The way you get to an extraordinary life is by doing difficult things. In other words, it is developing the disciplines that distinguish you from everybody else in the world. So when you see me on a platform speaking or you read my books know that my decision to do the difficult things is what has empowered me to live a world-class life. While we can choose inaction, I do not think that most people realize that the cost of inaction is higher than the price of pain in our lives. Inaction does not improve the quality of your life. More importantly, inaction keeps you imprisoned to the same cycles of frustration, failure, and defeat. The worst possible thing you can do is nothing at all. Why do I say that? If you do the same you will always get the same. However, if you dare to do something different then you will get different results. Inaction is proof that you do not honor the seed of your potential. Furthermore, inaction proves that you are not willing to make investments to improve the quality of your life. Inaction is the seed for frustration and yields the harvest of regret in your life. You must make a quality decision that you will not live 2020 in action. After all, inaction is a decision and it is altering the course of your destiny forever. Bouie, Jamelle (April 15, 2014). "America's Future Racial Makeup: Will Today's Hispanics Be Tomorrow's Whites?". Slate. Archived from the original on January 20, 2016 . Retrieved July 15, 2022. Jamelle Bouie". The Nation. March 30, 2011. Archived from the original on December 20, 2015 . Retrieved January 18, 2016. You must become a person of action. Everything that I have shared with you is great. However, if you miss this piece, then everything else I shared with you is irrelevant. The difference in years, seasons, and cycles are the actions that you are willing to take. I cannot tell you how many people I have talked to over the years that talked incessantly about changing their lives but never took action. On this journey, I have discovered that inaction is one of the greatest imprisoners of your potential. If you are truly ready to live your greatest life in 2022, then you must become a person of action. It is action that closes the gap between desire and manifesting the life of your dreams. Action is how you build the bridge between hope and manifestation in your life. Everything that you desire is on the other side of action. While you may not have all the pieces, if you will dare to take action you can partner with greatness and realize your greatest potential. Do not let inaction give birth to regret and bitterness in your life. Dare to move in the direction of your goals and align with your vision. You will regret the actions that you did not take and the goals that you did not execute. Nobody else can be responsible for your dreams. I do not want you to die with dreams that were never realized. I want you to awaken to what is possible, take action and realize all of your dreams. Welsh, Teresa (April 30, 2014). 4 Ways To Fix Broken Leadership And Build Trust | YFS Magazine

Join thought leader and global influencer Jamelle Sanders for a show that will empower you to choose wholeness and create a life of freedom. In this episode, Jamelle delves into the defining of a freedom paradigm. Pain can produce great rewards in your life. While I am sure that some of you are a bit bewildered by this statement, I want you to understand that pain is a powerful tool. In fact, pain has been a powerful gift in my life. Pain has helped me identify when a season was over, a relationship was ending, and even alerted me when it was time to upgrade my life to the next level. Your perspective on pain wants to keep you in a prison. Conversely, the right perspective on pain will empower you to progress and reach your greatest potential. I've learned to see pain as simply resistance training in my life. You have to understand that muscles cannot be built without resistance. Resistance is painful but necessary to build muscles and produce results. Resistance is the tool that ushers you into the next realm in your life. The reward of pain is not only progress but power. In other words, what you are avoiding is the very thing that will serve as the catalyst for the advancement of your life. Pain is simply developing the disciplines in you that will empower you to thrive at the next dimension. Without resistance, you will always live a restricted life. You must cultivate a gratitude practice. As some of you know, I have written about gratitude on some of the largest platforms in the world, My writing has been translated into multiple languages and I have heard personal stories from people all over the globe. What I have discovered is that we could all use a little more gratitude. In fact, gratitude has carried me through personal loss, tragedy, failure, disappointment and so much more. In those moments where life was the most difficult, I found myself leaning into the practice of gratitude. For more than twenty years, I have kept a gratitude journal. When I first started, it was very challenging to come up with a list of things that I was grateful for. However, as time progressed I found myself writing paragraphs about my life and all the things that I was grateful for. Gratitude profoundly changed me and everything about my life. It reminded me of how blessed I am, how much my life matters, and how much I have to give to be a blessing to others. Most of all, gratitude broke the complaining complex in my life and shifted my perspective about life. I want to challenge you to make gratitude a daily practice in your life. It is not enough to reflect one day a year on gratitude. Imagine what would happen if you took time every single day to reflect and express gratitude. I guarantee that cultivating a gratitude practice will produce tremendous growth in your life.Jamelle Bouie, 27 - In Photos: 2015 30 Under 30: Media". Forbes. A lot of people do not understand what I mean when I say this. If you want to get in great shape and live a more healthier life you often turn to diet plans. I believe that the same discipline applies to achieving success in life. If you want to improve your performance and get different results then you need to change your appetite. You must hunger for the things that will fuel you reaching your highest potential. You must lose the craving to be common and desire to be world-class in everything that you do. Your appetite does determine your achievement and the world is filled with people that are hungry for the wrong things. Lose the appetite for mediocrity and achieve more.

No desire will ever be manifested in your life without courage. As I stated earlier, this year has already stretched me in ways that I have never been stretched before. Honestly, I tried to push a lot of things out of my mind and postpone them to some date in the future. Unfortunately, denial did not make the desire go away and I could no longer ignore it. I knew that I had to take action and I knew that it was not going to be easy. On the other hand, I knew that if I would act on the desire then I would inevitably see breakthroughs in my life. At this point, I had to make the decision to choose courage. We often talk about courage but I am not sure that many people know what courage is. Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is the audacity to unleash faith in the midst of uncertainty and fear. As I was forced out of my comfort zone, I am finding myself living in the great unknown. I am a thinker and strategist that likes to have every detail figured out. While this serves me greatly in business, I am learning more and more than it does not serve me well in moments of transition and transformation. I can either allow the great unknown to cripple me. Or I can allow the great unknown to unleash the force of courage in my life. I have chosen courage and it has opened my eyes to new frontiers and new horizons in my life. Courage is the currency of change.
