Do your body a favor and treat yourself.” As my love for the Savior has grown, so has my desire to replace hurt and anger with His healing balm. It has been a process of many years, requiring courage, vulnerability, perseverance, and learning to trust in the Savior’s divine power to save and heal. I still have work to do, but my heart is no longer on a warpath. I have been given “a new heart” 13—one that has felt the deep and abiding love of a personal Savior, who stayed beside me, who gently and patiently led me to a better place, who wept with me, who knew my sorrow. In starting to change it, I noticed a big shift in my energy levels and my health. At this time, I was living in a house that belonged to my mum where we were renting out a room to someone who we needed to move out, but I always found a reason not to mention it and kept delaying telling him, because I was scared of upsetting him and losing our pretence that all was well. I realised I needed to fundamentally change my behaviour and be more honest and authentic with people, even if that might lead to conflict or be difficult for them to hear. For me this was a real key for getting well and staying well. For many people, social support makes up a vital part of recovery from trauma. Many trauma survivors have found that bonds with family, romantic partners, and friends deepen as they begin the vulnerable process of recovery.

He desires your healing and happiness. He loves you. He weeps with you in your sorrows and rejoices to make you whole. May we take heart and take His loving hand that is ever extended 25 as we walk the healing path of forgiveness is my prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

There’s no set threshold of what harm is “bad enough” to cause trauma. A traumatic event could involve a single brush with death, like a car crash. But traumatic events can also be complex, or ongoing and repeated over time, like neglect or abuse. If we choose to numb ourselves, the pain stays there and eventually gets infected and, in extreme cases, may kill us. Emotions are similar. When we’re feeling emotional pain, we must heal those feelings. What happens if we don’t have the right tools to heal ourselves? While there is most definitely an element of otherworldly mystery to the work he does, much of what Anthony William shines a spotlight on—particularly around autoimmunedisease—feels inherently right and true. What’s better is that the protocols he recommends are natural, accessible, and easy to do.” This collaboration has continued for 7 years, integrating an enhanced Indigenous healing knowledge framework with biomedicine. The healing framework involves recognizing the physical aspects of healing and supporting the whole person’s recovery, which includes rebuilding broken families (resulting from addiction) and reintegrating clients into the community through employment, education or training. Clients partake in recovery with the support of community members who also participate in cultural activities. From the perspective of traditional healing, clients have an innate ability to heal themselves since they have a fire inside. They are rekindling this fire through reconnecting to land, family, community and overall personal empowerment to complement pharmacological healing options. Furthermore, for Naandwe Miikan, “… success is when the clients walk through the door,” thus, coming to terms with their addiction and venturing on their healing path. 3 The next challenge of the program is a comprehensive, self-determined data-driven evaluation. 3 Competing interests: Darrel Manitowabi is a community member of Wikwemikong and is part of an ongoing Canadian Institutes of Health Research funded research project at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University.Wholeness and meaning are hard-won. Finding meaning isn’t dependent upon comprehending the ‘why’ or ‘what’ of it all. Paradoxically, it is as we learn to live without knowing the ‘why’s’ that peace and meaning emerge. A visually beautiful PDF showing you an overview of The Healing Path that you can print or save to look at daily and remind yourself of these important elements of healing. Even if someone faced an identical trauma, they still likely had different experiences before the trauma and found themselves in a different environment afterwards. Trauma often proves both physically and emotionally draining, and you may need more rest during recovery than you think. The speed with which you feel relief will depend on the condition being treated. In acute ailments, this can be very fast indeed. In more chronic conditions, your recovery rate will depend on the nature and duration of the illness and on your individual vitality. After years of doctors being unable to diagnose, identify, or pinpoint our child’s gastrointestinal issues, Anthony’s expertise and intuition led us to not only identifying the issue, but more importantly, Anthony’s precise protocols have been the invaluable catalyst in our daughter’s healing, recovery, and her happiness. As parents, there is no greater gift you can pray for than the health of your children, and we are eternally grateful to you, Anthony, for your powerful gifts. Thank you for your time, energy, guidance, and comfort on a journey that wasn’t overnight, and for restoring our daughter and many of our family members’ health, Anthony.”
