About this deal

Dolby Atmos and DTS Headphone:X (2.0) are two specially branded types of surround sound you'll also likely encounter. They both essentially do the same thing of adding positional audio for effects for objects like say a plane flying over or a bomb falling from the sky above you. Now what is interesting is that DTS Sound Unbound have profile for several hundred headphones. And there was a profile for my cans. And because of this, IMO, is why I don't miss having option to fine tune sound settings like in Dolby Access. Not to complicate things, but I've also noticed that in the Windows Store there is now a DTS Sound Unbound app for Windows 10 that seems to do something similar to Dolby Atmos for Headphones (with the same game list). So game devs didnt want to pay license fees to Creative Labs / Asus / other dedicated soundcard makers so game audio is now processed on the CPU

The Razer Barracuda X isn't the fanciest or most luxurious-feeling gaming headset, but it's one of the most inexpensive and flexible in terms of delivering high-quality audio. The 2022 model uses a nearly identical USB-C transmitter to its predecessor that lets it work with any PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, or Android phone with a USB-C port (Xbox isn't supported), and has the same 3.5mm wireless connectivity. Razer added a big feature to this version, though: Bluetooth connectivity. You can pair it with your phone (or Nintendo Switch, since Nintendo added Bluetooth audio) and listen to music without the transmitter, making it work as a standalone pair of wireless headphones. The very same qualities that make the Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X perfect for long hours of critical listening, mixing, and mastering of audio are perfect when gaming. And you get everything needed in a set of headphones for gaming. Let’s start with the build and comfort. These are extremely well-built headphones with a level of comfort that is hard to beat. You need a good headset (or gaming headphones, if you prefer) for online gaming. Without one, you won't have a reliable way to trash-talk the competition or coordinate strategies with your team or guild. Surprisingly, gaming headsets are good tools for your home office, too. What if we told you surround sound doesn’t have to be confined to a multi-speaker home theater set-up, and that all you needed was a simple pair of headphones?

Audeze is best known for high-end headphones that use planar magnetic drivers, a different audio technology from the cone and dome drivers used by most headphones and headsets. Planar magnetic drivers deliver delicious sound, but they're also generally more expensive than conventional drivers, which is why you rarely see them outside of some audiophiles' collections. The Audeze Penrose is one of the few gaming headsets that uses those drivers, and it sounds fantastic. Compatibility: Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, PC/Mac, Nintendo Switch, Mobile | Connectivity: wired | Drivers: 40mm neodymium | Surround sound modes: 2.0 | Weight: 348g The Razer Kraken Kitty V2 Pro is a fun headset that combines gamer-friendly RGB lighting with cute animal ears. It has cat, bear, and bunny ears you can mix and match, and they all have programmable RGB lighting to go with the earcups. The headset delivers strong sound and has a clear microphone for chatting with friends. Who It's For DTS Headphone:X 2.0 is the latest version of object-based sound imaging from DTS. Version 2.0 takes 7.1 channel surround sound further than ever with enhanced bass rendering, audio clarity and proximity cues. And most importantly, a new level of distance awareness differentiates between near field and far field audio, so your enemy’s location is pinpointed more than ever.Edit 2 - I ahev tried both, DTS X does sound good but to me sounds a little over processed in COD MW and maybe a bit 'echoey'. This was using balanced instead of spacious and my K702 headphones manually chosen. The Beyerdynamic MMX 100 is as close to perfection as a wired gaming headset can get thanks to its impressive sound, comfort, and build quality. Compatibility: PS5, Switch, PC, Mac, Mobile | Interface: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3 | Drivers: 10mm | Surround sound modes: THX | Battery life: 6.5 hours, 30 hours (in case) | Weight: 6g (per earbud)
