About this deal

Hamish is my favourite character. My favourite part is when he starts to learn about him still being able yo move when time is stopped. I would still recommend it for anyone that's 8 and over because the text and size of the book is not suited to anyone younger. Fiction. This was a fun book to read, and had lots of action scenes, but it wasn't one of the best books that I've read this summer.

Like David Walliams, Danny Wallace is a comedian turned children's author. Of the two, Wallace's writing is funnier' The Sunday Times, Children's Book of the Week Ha sido una historia entretenida, con algún personaje entrañable, con una lectura fácil y directa (perfecta de 8-10 años) y con algún toque humorístico bastante simpático. A tragedy brings Lemonade Liberty Witt to her grandpa's place from San Francisco, but she's determined she won't be staying long. A funny, touching and thought-provoking adventure story examining loss, grief, self-discovery and acceptance. Another said he’d drive a Ferrari all the way to Alton Towers and then not have to queue up for anything. Hamish and the Neverpeople is the hilarious sequel to Danny Wallace’s earlier novel, Hamish and the WorldStoppers . It contains the familiar faces of the original characters and more!

So I knew that Hamish couldn’t just have fun. There had to be an encroaching danger; some kind of monster in the cupboard. I liked it because it was funny and really exciting. My favourite character was Elliot, he was a smart boy. I would recommdnd this to people because it is such a fun book to read. Hamish and his friends try to stop the worldstoppers from taking over the city.I liked Hamish the most because Original, quirky and super silly, Wallace has written a great book that kids - particularly boys - will really enjoy.

The plot had so many holes in it I decided to stop keeping count. The story-line was dragged out in some places and towards the end felt incredibly rushed. I really would have liked to see more PDF action with the original gang of 5. (That definitely doesn't make sense, but it would do if you'd read the book). Reading for pleasure is more important to children’s successes than education or social class. The Summer Reading Challenge gets three quarters of a million children into libraries to keep up their reading skills and confidence during the long holidays while Chatterbooks reading groups help build a lifelong reading habit. Because everything changes when we read.

Hamish and the Worldstoppers (part 5)

The first thing to say here is that even though this book is written for children, I still thought that there was a lot there for me to enjoy as an adult. Part of that is probably due to the fact that I’m a Danny Wallace fan and find that he’s generally pretty funny whether he’s writing for kids or adults. In fact, he does what a lot of writers don’t manage to do by writing for children without speaking down to them. Chosen as one of the Top Ten Best New Books for Children 2015 by Andrea Reece. Danny Wallace is well-known as comedian, actor and TV presenter. Now he’s a children’s author too, and a very good one. Hamish lives in Britain’s fourth-most boring town but life gets very exciting when one day Hamish notices that the whole world has stopped: planes; cars; people. Everything in fact - except him. What follows is a fast moving, funny sci-fi adventure. There’s lots that’s very silly but some sharp one-liners too and droll descriptions. Hamish and his friends are engaging characters, and the baddies something else altogether! This will have anyone aged 8 and up in stitches. ~ Andrea Reece
