About this deal

Book 3 of this adult fantasy series continues in this epic story inspired by the myth of King Midas, fae, fated romance, and insurmountable greed. One person’s pain doesn’t negate another’s. Our heartaches are not competition, but the bridge to empathy. So that we can look at one another and know that on some level, we understand.” You never notice what’s keeping you balanced until you realize you’re not standing straight anymore.”

Read this series NOW! I felt like I was in the story watching and holding my breath the entire time' 5***** Reader Review Once again, Raven Kennedy comes in and twists the story so you never see what’s coming. In this book though, we really get a lot from Slade and his story is both tragic and one of strength. Glow Reading Experience I’m now in a strange kingdom surrounded by liars, with no allies of my own, but I won’t sit idly by and let myself wither. No, there’s something that’s bloomed from the pit of my repression. Something dark. Something angry. Our servers are getting hit pretty hard right now. To continue shopping, enter the characters as they are shown We are finally leaving the fifth kingdom and going into the fourth so we get a whole new aspect of world building in this book. The world is beautiful and Raven does a fantastic job of describing each of the different settings. She really brings this world to life in ways that make you feel like you are there. Star RatingI did a bit of skimming at times because the story was so in depth and there were characters I just didn’t even care to read their perspective. That is my only complaint in this book. Like a phoenix caught fire, I will need to rise from the ashes and learn to wield my own power. Because my wings may have been clipped, but I am not in a cage, and I'm finally free to fly from the frozen kingdoms I've been kept in.

Listen,” she whispers. So I do. I thread my fingers through her own, and I listen. But my song of home doesn’t come from the sun. Mine comes from her.” Oh, Goldfinch, I’d follow you to the end of the world and tip right off the edge, all because of a crook of your finger.”

And she smiles, through the tears dried on her cheeks, through the glassiness of her eyes. The sight is so damn beautiful that it’s hard to breathe. Meanwhile, the royalty of Orea are calling for a Conflux in which Auren must answer for the death of King Midas. In the process they are spreading vicious rumors about Auren swaying the public opinion in their favor. This book has quite a few spicy scenes, a lot of emotion, and towards the end really hooks into you. The character development is so fantastic and you get so drawn into your favorite characters and how they change. The Wrath is at the top of my list for favorite characters. They bring a bit of lightness as well as delicacy in helping Auren and Slade through this book where they start to heal. Additionally, Digby is taking his role as Aurens guard very seriously and it really warms the heart.
