I Swear by OXO’s Angled Measuring Cups Because I Never Have to ‘Crouch Down to Eye Level’ To MeasureAgain Gilmore Girls The Official Cookbook is a fun and delicious treat that I would highly recommend you add to your cookbook collection. Aghhh! Those endpapers! I love them. In fact they would make a great phone case or even fabric (I see an apron!).

If you have been watching the show, you immediately know why there would be a cookbook based on the series. If you have not, you would be asking that very question. Food plays a big part in the show, and many of the scenes with the two main characters and others are centered around meals, either a burger at Luke’s Diner or a sit-down meal at their elder families' dinner table on Fridays. But it would not be a cookbook for fans without reminders of the TV series we love. Sprinkled throughout the book are photo stills from the show and favorite quotes to remind you of just how bad the eating habits of Lorelai and Rory were—and how coffee dependent Lorelai was. My eyes popped out of my head when looking at Lorelai’s graduation cake: a divine chocolate concoction that had chocolate covered espresso beans in the center! Yum!Lorelai and Rory were often mistaken for sisters, and not just because Lorelai was 16 when she had her daughter. Lorelai’s comfy but chic style is the stuff of mom goals everywhere, so it’s no wonder that Rory sometimes raided her closet. Invoke her fall style as you too wait for the first big snowfall with an oversized knit sweater that easily transitions into the winter season with the addition of a scarf and boots.

RECIPES FOR EVERY OCCASION: Whip up delicious dishes for everything from a mother-daughter brunch to a family dinner to a celebration for the whole town! Craig and Mulrooney’s “Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook” is not without some weaknesses, however. The authors are slightly inconsistent in recipe detail with some reading as vague while others are overly detailed. For example, four different methods for pasta dough production in a single recipe using a variety of kitchen gadgets are not unusual while the next recipe may essentially be two steps. The recipes would have also benefited from additional information such as listed prep/cook times at a glance and nutritional facts. Even though “Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook” doesn’t diminish in value without these supplements; they would have strengthened the collection. The One with All the Recipes: An Unofficial Cookbook for Fans of Friends

I loved that this isn't *just* a cookbook. Alongside the recipes are all your favourite people from Stars Hollow. It's similar to going home again, where the coffee is hot and the company is comforting. The book also includes some rather popular quotes from the show sprinkled throughout. They are of course food related. There is this gem: “This is a jumbo coffee morning. I need coffee in an i.v.”. Un volume con foto che vi faranno davvero venire l’acquolina in bocca, con precise spiegazioni su come cucinare i piatti raffigurati. Ma la cucina non mette da parte la serie con protagoniste le ragazze Gilmore, presentando anche immagini della serie e alcune citazioni. Veniamo così nuovamente portati in quei luoghi familiari e confortevoli che hanno emozionato tanti spettatori, e con questo goloso volume potranno rivivere quelle atmosfere care e divertenti.
