About this deal

Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy is a wonderful introduction to becoming a responsible puppy parent. One who wants to use modern training methods to get the best out of their dog and craft a partnership, as opposed to fostering uncertainty. Making your training bulletproof, so you’re safe in the knowledge that no matter the situation puppy will listen to you, is a case of varying the three d’s – distance, distraction and duration. Playing with these three elements will ensure that no matter the distance puppy has to travel, the intriguing distractions on offer and the duration puppy has to behave for, we’re still left with a safe and happy dog. Steve Mann is founder of the IMDT and the Author of the #1 best selling puppy training book in the UK, ‘Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy’

Best course ever, well explained and demonstrated course content both theory and practical. Can't wait to start training puppies the Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy way. Don’t get angry – it won’t help. All the puppy learns is “when x, y or z happens, the human gets cross therefore x, y and z need to be avoided at all costs”

We recommend that puppies come along to dog training and socialisation classes for their first year of their life to help them through fear periods and give them the basic grounding in good manners and behaviour that they need to become excellent doggy citizens. Something I loved about this book was that it didn’t just tell you “Do X, then Y, Then Z and Presto! Perfect puppy”, no, it tells you why you should do it in a certain way, and even gives you examples of the problems it may create if you don’t! It’s a fantastic insight into the mind of your dog.

Bekoff, Marc. Canine Confidential: Why Dogs Do What They Do. Chicago, University of Chicago Press, 2018. I love that it covers the basics. It gives you the why, it gives you the how, and it gives a new puppy parent something digestible to get them into puppy training. A brilliant course. Whether you're fairly new to puppy training or have been doing classes for decades, you will gain so much from these 3 days. Highly recommended!selectedStore.City }}, {{ selectedStore.State }} {{ selectedStore.Country }} {{ selectedStore.Zip }}

Steve will be walking you through all of the effective puppy exercises he has performed in his puppy classes and 1.2.1s, as well as introducing you to many new and exciting activities that shouldbe part of a new puppy and owner’s education, but rarely are! A Hierarchy of Dog Needs: Abraham Maslow Meets the Mutts. ( Linda Michaels' dog training stresses gentle care, rewards, and choice.) Steve is a world-renowned expert who presents dog training and behaviour seminars worldwide including Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East. TV appearances include BBC's The Underdog Show and Who Let The Dogs Out?, ITV's Lorraine and Animal Rescue, plus several other shows in the UK and worldwide. Steve has worked with many celebrities including Graham Norton, Brian Blessed and Theo Walcott. He also works as an Animal Consultant for TV and Film shoots and regularly speaks at behaviour, management and training conferences. Steve Mann obviously knows his dogs and the training which goes along with owning a dog, I can't fault his knowledge, he explains everything in very lamen's terms so no matter whether this is your fifteenth dogs or your a first-time pup-parent you will find something of interest and gain new insight into your puppy's behaviour and how to get passed all their hurdles. I liked the tips on basic training and managing all those puppy tantrums and difficult behaviours, they didn't all work for me but we keep going and hoping one day (before my dog becomes an OAP) that he will get what I am trying to teach him. One can hope! Steve Mann, founder of The IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), is the author of the UK's number 1 bestselling dog training book Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy. Other books include the bestselling Easy Peasy Doggy Squeezy, Easy Peasy Doggy Diary and Easy Peasy Awesome Pawsome.

As your puppy develops from birth to maturity, his body and brain go through a lot of changes. Puppy fear periods are a normal part of growing up. Behaviourists believe that they are a primeval mechanism to keep the puppy safe from danger and help it to live comfortably with the other dogs in the social group. Bringing puppy along to classes ensures that he or she can meet dogs of all ages in a controlled and safe environment. It gives you, as an owner, a better insight into doggy body language and helps you to introduce your pup to other dogs while you are out and about. Plus, you will have a qualified trainer and behaviourist on hand to ask any questions about any aspect of your puppy’s behaviour that is confusing or frustrating you. God only knows, I made mistakes, we all do (so please don’t punish yourself) But having a reference text that I could dog-ear, note on, and use time and time again? Would have been a life saver in raising my pup. Other than the wealth of knowledge, I have to say one of my favourite things is the humour in Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy. It’s easy to write a basic training book, but this genuinely had me laughing! Which is great, who doesn’t need a laugh? This is a great book for new puppy parents, and can really help, but it won’t solve all your issues. Improvements
