About this deal

Behind the barrel you’ll find the V11’s cyclone array, which consists of 14 cyclones in total. Dyson says that they generate “forces of more than 79,000g to fling microscopic particles into the bin”, including pollen and bacteria. Dyson says their multi surface is fine on hardwoods. And in my experience, I have not noticed any hardwood scratching.

My Dyson V11’s power head quit working on eco and auto after about 6 months. Dyson replaced it; it lasted a few months and the same thing happened. Dyson sent me another and it quit working after a few months also. They sent me another, and it would not work on eco when I received it and after 6 weeks the auto quit working again. I called them and they told me the warranty has run out. The vacuum only works on boost for like 6 minutes. Reply If you want a high-end Dyson, but need to save some money, go with the V10 Animal. It’s not as good as the V11, but for the money it’s still an exceptional deal – https://amzn.to/2IwkYD4Many thanks for this great info. I’m still confused, though, about the fundamental difference between the Animal and the regular V11. So I think it just really depends on the surface on your hardwoods. If you’re worried, I would suggest you just opt for the V10 Absolute for soft roller head. Or go with one of the V11 models and add a standalone soft roller brush, which you can get here – https://amzn.to/2UgwR6y Tested and engineered for homes with pets, the Dyson Outsize creates powerful suction that drives deep to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets and rugs.

If you’ve got it within the budget I think the soft roller head is a super nice addition. However, even without it the V11’s multi surface cleaning head will do perfectly well on its own. The Torque drive cleaning head is the only cleaning head included with the Dyson V11 (with either the Torque Drive or Animal model). Our microbiologists study the particles that can cling to pet hair, helping to find better ways to capture them. Dyson vacuums are engineered to capture and contain household dirt and pet hair – even the microscopic pet dander you can't see.

Cleans everywhere

I am interested in the V11. Cannot make up my mind between the Torque or Animal. My dog does not shed. There is such a big difference with the Animal vs Torque. Why is that. Saw the video and it only mentions two differences. 1 extra attachment and a better easier to read system. So I did not see the V12 come out in March. When is the launch date. But if there is a more intricate engineering incompatibility that you or I cannot see…that could be going on as well behind the scenes. So that’s just something to keep in mind. As you can tell from the list above, most features of the V11 are common to all versions. There are a few key differences though, so let’s take a look at the unique features of each model. Both the V11 and V10 are excellent vacuum cleaners. The V11 is a clear upgrade, however, due to the strong suction, improved floorhead, LCD screen, and smart suction capabilities. If you want the “best”– and don’t mind paying extra for it – then go for the Dyson V11 Absolute.

I would suggest you wait for next year, V12 should be out. The performance increase on the V12 might make more sense.

Other useful videos for this product

So I was wondering which vacuum is better, v11 Animal plus or the Torque drive ? Not talking about price but efficiency with dogs’ hairs. The differences between these models come down to accessories and an LCD screen, neither of which impact hair cleaning performance. The most important new design feature of the V11 is that it has an LCD display. You can use the screen to view various metrics, including maintenance alerts and the remaining battery run-time in minutes and seconds. This run-time updates depending on the power mode and tool you’re using, which is a useful addition.

UK customers will also be able to choose from two versions of the V11. Here both come with the LCD screen, but only the more expensive model has the Torque Drive cleaner head. Unlike the V10, the V11 steps it up a notch, by also including advanced floor sensor technology that automatically adjusts the suction as needed to accommodate floor types. The S12 has cooler usability features, but at the end of the day, these are machines for cleaning. And I would personally want the higher suction.

Does the V10 have a removable battery that can be charged when not attached to the wand? Also, does it automatically sense and adjust cleaning hardwood vs carpeted floors? Can the charger charge 2 batteries at once? If you’re really worried about your hardwood floors get the soft fluffy cleaner head attachment here – https://amzn.to/3e97aN5 Please note that run time will depend on how you are using the machine. Different attachments take different levels of power (as do the more powerful cleaning modes). Dyson V11 Run Times
