About this deal

Cool Water, Cool Water Intense, and Cool Water Parfum are massively popular in the fragrance community. It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, the CW series will never disappoint you in the case of getting compliments.

Our homerooms were awash in the oversprayed underwashed masses of boys on the verge of adolescence with teachers and the young sunflower drenched girls as our casualties. The aroma is very refreshing and would suit men of any age group. I have Also let my two sons try this and they both love it. I would recommend it to anyone. So I got this at Wal Mart with the intention of it being for myself. But when I bought it with my husband, I made a deal with him that if he really liked it he could have it as his options for fragrances he has and likes to use are limited because he normally only looks woodsy, amber, musk scents. If you are into niche, you have to go with stuff like Maison Francis Kurkdjan (extrait versions), Nishane, Parfums de Marly (anything PDM is worth your money, in my opinion). Initio which happens to be De Marly's sister company also has great fragrances that perform superbly. Hence, the vainglorious pretentiousness of the Creed line spoils the fun of their few good perfumes (case in point: Green Irish Tweed).honestly I almost cried... not just because cool water still amazing but because of the memories that get alive with this scent. A classic fougere. I see why it is so popular. Fresh, sporty, classy, sophisticated, bright, refreshing. They are both playing the same song (“Greensleeves”, perhaps?) But, while CW is a rudimentary performance by a middle-schooler on a Casio keyboard, GIT is being performed by a world-class pianist on a Steinway grand in a concert hall. I don’t think you could ever wear this and overpower anyone, as it is not strong in the sense that it doesn’t shoot up your nose or have any sharp or chemical edges. I just feel it gives me and anyone close to me a gentle hug and a feeling of warmth. Cool Water is a natural entry point into the world of perfumes for men and I think it excels in that role. This is first and fore-most a sweet, aquatic scent with some florals and aromatics to give a bit of freshness and a bit of green spice. It's fair to say the scent is a bit synthetic but it's honestly balanced well enough that it's not unbearable unless you really really overspray.

It should be in EVERY collector's collection simply because it Fathered modern fragrance. It sent a ripple through the fragrance industry for sure. So masculine, so sexy, so ASSERTIVE but so cool. This fragrance smells martian to me. Nowadays fragrances play with mixing masculinity and femininity but Cool Water doesn't play any of the charades. At all lol. This is a really hard scent to rate. I love having it because I can overspray before working out or just heading out to the store and not worry about running out. It's a nice scent but it's obviously nothing all that unique and the performance is pretty bad. It's 8.15AM when I arrive at work, go to the mail room and find the box sat in my tray. I hurry outside eager to find out just what the hell I'd spent all this money on. I needn't have worried because, from that first spray I experienced a sort of moment of nirvana. I arrived at a place of understanding, a dawning realisation that even in the world of fragrance, there was a next level....and this was that next level. Every pound I'd spent blind was instantly justified and even rewarded with the sense that here was the best smell I had ever smelled!

In the Indian climatic conditions(hot and humid) this scent begins with being strong for the first 10min or so, then this becomes a skin scent for 1hr and barely projects, and then vanishes completely after 1.5hr. Both are ALL TIME greats. GIT is obviously "better" because of the quality ingredients and performance, but CW is so cheap you can just douse yourself in it (which I do) and constantly re-apply.

The adrenaline of the ocean

The notes used in CW Intense are versatile and inoffensive. And you can use CW Intense for any events such as business meetings, parties, hangouts, etc. In my opinion, an amazing fragrance. The opening is heavy on the aquatic scent, very projecting in the beginning. The dry down on the other hand, has intimate sillage but for me it's an amazing fresh pleasant smell. It's definitely a fresh daytime summer fragrance. It's for casual wearing, wouldn't wear it when going out at night. Could also be a nice summer office fragrance. The performance is pretty good on my skin, I get more than 6 hours. I always felt in reminded me of laundry day-clean fresh, pleasant and tumble dried. Never sexy. Even in warmer weather, developed an aversion to it. Then came a sea of clones from high end designers to cheap drug store body sprays. This fragrance has reigned supreme for damn near 35 years. The fact that it still smells so incredible makes this a masterpiece. Yes, it is true that our noses and olfactory senses change as we grow and become accustomed to newer scents in life. However, the extreme manner in which Cool Water has been destroyed is not simply due to maturing olfactory senses. What Davidoff has done to Cool Water is a tragedy and it is very real.

Natural lavender can smell a bit heavy and kind of spicy. While the lavender in this is very very prominent without being spicy, kind of has a cooling effect to it. I still love this but despite my always purchasing from an AD in Paris (these days), it doesn't seem to have the mileage or the sillage any longer and, given that even Cool Water doesn't really smell like Cool Water any longer, the two are no longer as close as once they were. Alittle quirk it has is that in the dry down it has this very petrichor-esque quality to it, like the smell of rain during a spring afternoon, and I really like that. After collecting 100 common, unique, vintage, and rare collectible drops. This guy is my #1 best friend and signature cologne.

More From Sephora

There is a reason for this perfume to be most places: It is good for the man who wants to be "fresh" and likes the marina life. In my opinion, Cool Water Intense is better for everyday use. And it’s more versatile than Cool Water and Cool Water Parfum. Value For Money Excellent performance and feeling proud and more confident while going out for a drink and having this in your skin. It does smell like Cool Water but much higher quality indeed. There's lots of blue, but in an ozonic aromatic, not artificial aquatic kind of way. There's a lot of ambergris/ambroxan(?) - it's this kind of leathery-salty from the very beginning to the end. It does last about 10 to 11 hours on my skin, BUT! the projection is moderate throughout the lifetime of the fragrance, it's never a screamer and it's the strongest for about 3-4.
