About this deal

If you develop any new symptoms, or if your symptoms become worse, make an appointment to see your doctor for advice (even if you have previously been diagnosed by your doctor). Overdose may cause severe gastro-intestinal symptoms, diarrhoea, rectal ulceration, epileptic convulsions, loss of consciousness, apnoea, nausea, disturbances in cardiac rhythms, ataxia and other CNS problems, probably due to the presence of menthol.

Peppermint oil helps the muscle in your bowel, relax. This helps to relieve the pain of stomach cramps and eases bloating and farting. You or the person who's unwell may also have a rash that's swollen, raised, itchy, blistered or peeling. Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to menthol or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1. Peppermint oil capsules help to relieve tummy (abdominal) pain and bloating associated with conditions like irritable bowel syndrome. Peppermint oil has been proven to aid the whole digestive system due to its soothing and cooling properties and may also eliminate digestive discomfort and help with indigestion, and flatulence. Those with sensitive bowels may find peppermint oil helps to maintain normal intestinal transit.Drinking alcohol while you are taking peppermint oil capsules can increase the chance that you experience side-effects. If this happens, you are advised not to drink alcohol.

Do not keep out-of-date or unwanted medicines. Take them to your local pharmacy which will dispose of them for you. It is generally recommended that you take these medicines only when necessary. For example, people with IBS commonly find that there are times when symptoms flare up for a while. So, it is common to take an antispasmodic when symptoms flare up, and to stop them if symptoms settle down. The enteric coating delays the release of the peppermint oil until it reaches the distal small bowel, exerting local effects of colonic relaxation. They help relieve my digestive problems. As different people have different problems you need try them to see if they will work for you. These are the cheapest enteric coated ones I've found, much better value than the branded ones available in high street chemists. It will start to work within a few hours but it could take up to 1 to 2 weeks to take full effect. Keep taking peppermint oil until your symptoms improve.
