Our PC & Social learning spaces are located on level 5 in Pontio (you will need your ID card to access at times). There is no direct access to/from the library via Main building (Lloyd reading room) on weekends. Please use the library's main entrance. Opening Hours Welcome to Main Arts Building; within this building are various lecture rooms used for different subjects. The building is also connected to the Bangor University Library. In this Library, we have different rooms which hold books for various subjects and offer a place to read and study. Those rooms are: You will need your ID card to access the library after 5pm weekdays, and throughout the weekend opening period.

The area just outside the Richards reading room is where you will find the Teaching and learning support team. This team provides in depth support for students and staff to: Peel Park Campus, Clifford Whitworth University Library, CW Collaboration Space 1+2 (R1.15) at 3pm for 90 minutesShankland is our grandest reading room. It’s a quiet room – therefore no noise when in this room please, and, like other reading rooms, no food or drink in here either. It's OK to consume drinks and cold food in the sofa area immediately outside of Shankland. Whether you are brand new to York or you've been here for years, the library can be a lot to take in. We've got lots of guides to get you started. The library’s main entrance has now re-opened and is accessible via the newly re-furbished outer quad. App with over 4k magazines (english and other languages). Includes Dazed, Vogue, Elle, Good Housekeeping, Marie Claire, health and hobby magazines.
