I like this game. I do a lot of RPGs and I use this game as a gateway for kids to learn dnd. I also play the game, as intended, and it gives you the bare bones essentials of a dungeon delving game. Highly recommended for travelling with kids. I wanted an old fashioned D&D game because I have good memories of Sorcerers Cave etc. This game is fantastic straight out of the box. Simple and logical rules, immersive gameplay, very well balanced characters with good strategic depthAwesome game me and my daughter love it , plus it has some great expansions which bring a new level of depth to your character. All in all a brilliant family and solo game When we asked our two teenagers to choose two of our boardgames to take with us on our summer holiday, they were unanimous on taking Bag of Dungeon. As a family of four, we’ve had a lot of fun playing the game. 5/5 on family fun, portability and the high quality components. It’s every rabbit for themselves in this delightful roll ‘n’ run family game of competitive carrot rustling for 2 to 4 players.

We have created simple rules, solid mechanics and a populated world, but we never promised an easy ride. Most of the time, that’s up to you. The deliberately divisive element within Bag of Dungeon (the appearance of the Ring) that pits player against player is there for your own moral conscience – it’s not mandatory. You decide. And sometimes, just sometimes, no matter how well you play, no matter how strong the bond of loyalty between you all, the dungeon layout and the monsters you encounter will be nothing short of a suicide mission. Being a fan of D&D, I wanted a similar type game that I could play solo. This is easily the most fun I’ve had playing a solo game. Rules are straight forward and it takes 3 minutes to set up. Easy to set up, even easier to play. Would absolutely recommend to board game players and RPG fans. Lay tiles, explore, combat enemies, collect equipment and escape before it all comes crashing down! In short – a great game if you want to arm yourself to the teeth before a mad scrap against your friends in the competitive mode, and a really nice game for families to take their first tentative steps into a dungeon. Just manage your expectations and don’t expect the kind of epic crawl you’d expect from one of its big-box brethren.

The witch’s claw is sleight-of-hand magic that allows you to steal an item (including the Ring) from an adventurer anywhere in the dungeon. Use it when your need is greater than theirs, or you just don’t like them. This Acme Insurance magic scroll activates when you lose a life. You respawn at the Start tile with all your gear. Does not restore your last life. If so, drop it with your other items (can be used again if found). With the standard rules, it’s pretty good. There’s a fun time to be had by exploring and battling, guiding your intrepid party to the end of the adventure. If you’ve got the kind of group that don’t mind a bit of take-that, and fighting one-another in games, then the advanced competitive rules are definitely the way to play. A good game should leave a lasting impression when it’s over, and the semi-coop crawl followed by a potential battle royale for victory is a far more exciting way to end the game.
