About this deal

If the serving side commits a fault, then the receiving side gets a point and the serve shifts to that side. If the serving team serves and the receiving side commits a fault, then the serving team moves from one service court to the other and continues to serve. There is a point scored after every serve (unlike in volleyball, for example). Do not rush through to learn all the different types of badminton shots. Learn and practice each type of shot until you’re really good at it. Then move on to learn new types of shots.

Before learning any other shots, know the correct technique for serving first. If you can serve well, your opponent won’t be able to give a deadly return shot. If you are not sure how to perform a drop shot, you can have a look at our badminton drop shot post, where we explain all the different types of drop shots and a step by step guide on how to perform them. Drop drill with static net playerGwalior’s Prachi Yadav becomes the first Indian paracanoe athlete to qualify for Tokyo Paralympics 2020. Prachi was a former champion para-swimmer for India, but switched to para canoe after her coach suggested because she had a better chance of getting to Paralympics.

Badminton can be a very challenging sport to master due to its speed and technical nuances. In this post, we are going to describe one of the most important parts of badminton, the shots. We will describe all the shots that can be found in badminton so you have a better understanding of all the different options you have available when playing badminton. A shot is called a net kill shot when you hit the shuttle from the front of your court and you hit it in a downwards direction. This is a very offensive shot which, usually, you can only perform after you have gained a great advantage in the point. It usually means the end of the rally and a winning point, especially in singles because the court to cover is much bigger and your opponent is, most likely, not well positioned. This drill is also very useful if you are a bit short of space to train singles. Instead of having to use a full-court, you can do half-court singles. This drill will help with resistance because the rallies tend to be longer. It will also help with shot accuracy because you are playing on only half the surface and therefore you need to focus on the landing position of your shots. 2 versus 1The feet of any player must be completely within the service court at the time of play - otherwise a fault will be called. Badminton can get quite challenging to play, especially if you don’t know how to play the basic strokes. Hence, to be able to rally, one must not skip learning these basic shots.
