The pole itself is about one inch in diameter and made of durable metal. It has been painted well so I haven’t seen any rusting, even if it has been exposed to rain for some time. As I previously mentioned, I like that it has many accessories attached to it: four hooks, a birdbath, and a mesh tray. This feeder pole is sturdy and easy to install. The best thing about this is that you’re sure that there will be no accidental feeder detachments as the hooks are usually welded. Its diameter is smaller compared to other feeder poles. It is an advantage because the pole blends in well with the surroundings. You might even take it for a thin tree!

The only issue I have with this feeder post is that squirrels can easily climb up. What I did was install a squirrel baffle, and away the squirrels went.Rather than a flat piece of metal curved over, its finished with a little internal decoration using additional rounded metal bars, curved around in the middle. Six feet away from such things is good enough so the squirrels won’t be able to use them as jumping points. If you have really determined squirrels though, then just add a baffle halfway through and all your problems will be solved.
