Although a relatively recent release any paper for Damien Chazelle’s 2014 Oscar Winning “Whiplash” is highly sought after. Not only because it is such a dramatic and well acted movie but because of an award winning movie poster campaign created by the advertising agency Cold Open. This portrait format one-sheet style is reminiscent of the work of Saul Bass or Olly Moss and is very ‘on trend’ with its ‘Mondo’ influences. Although a huge success with audiences and critics alike the movie is considered somewhat ‘art-house’ and had a very limited cinema release resulting in the scarcity of the posters used in the marketing campaign. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to fine effect with light handling wear.
