About this deal

a romance between ONE heroine and MULTIPLE heroes which ends in a committed HEA(happily ever after) My first ever mafia romance! Why didn’t anyone tell me writing these crazy alpha heroes would be this much fun? The writing is great, it's easy to get into, and I'd say I'm more interested in the side characters. There was almost no plot twist. I was never engaged with their relationship. And Damiano😶 babes, he was not the possessive alpha male I wanted 😭 I loved it. I loved the characters bonding over their issues and pasts, the character development, and the aspect of Martina regaining her confidence and building her character. It gave found family vibes although I’m sure that Ras and Gemma’s book will give that even more. I’m so glad that I give this one the time of day because it totally deserved it. WST is just as good as WSU. They’re both on the same tier for me, since they both handle different aspects and issues and have different tropes. (Although I’m kinda biased to WSU, just a little bit) 🤏 Valentina is a mafia princess who isn’t your typical princess. Her forced mafia husband forces her to do awful things and when Vale gets the opportunity to run she does. She runs all the way to Ibiza where she meets Mr. De Rossi. De Rossi is a business mongol who owns most of the island, especially the partying business. There is an instant connection of attraction which leads to obsession from both sides. De Rossi can’t understand why but he wants to protect her while trying to run his businesses. As the plot goes along, you find out that both of them have their own secrets that leads them to become enemies for a short period. Even though they become enemies, they are still lovers and wanting to help each other. They eventually work out their issues and work together to destroy her husband and De Rossi’s rivals.

the hero never refers to himself as a monster. He never tries to tell us what a bad man he is. What a breath of fresh air She‘s stunning! Ale is so strong and caring about the people she love. She suffered so much and was able to leave her family and old life behind. She deserves the world. My first book by Gabrielle Sands, and if she continues to write dark mafia romances, it definitely won't be my last. I loved the banter and the fact that Giorgio came to his senses and wasn’t in denial for years and years—like every other fictional male lead—at the end of the book, and the way he apologized and owned up to his mistakes. I also loved the action part of the book with Polo and his switch in the Catsello. I guessed the plot twist quite early on but it didn’t affect my thoughts on the book, nonetheless. The MCs had great chemistry and I enjoyed their interactions. This is definitely instalove/instalust. There is also technically cheating in this book since Valentina is still married when her and Damiano get together but I don't consider it cheating since her marriage was never a marriage. Her husband is a psychopath who really needed to get major help.I’ve had this one in my TBR for a while, have started and stopped three times before carrying on. I’m an emotionally minded reader, so sometimes books don’t hit right based on my mood at the moment. I never got past the beginning beyond the first interactions with her awful husband or to her escape. I can’t even say why, but I’m glad I finally pushed through. It was so worth it. I share this only so that anyone else who may find themselves in a similar situation may be reassured it’s worth pushing on. There wasn’t anything major that I didn’t like, although I wish I could’ve seen more of the journey or tension between Giorgio and Martina. I feel like they didn’t get enough time to actually fall in love and open up.

Every object under my protection is of immense value Martina. And you might just be the most valuable of them all." Honestly, h’s escape was probably a little too easy but I’m glad for her. She ends up in Ibiza and convinces H to give her a trial run for a job. It’s instant oil and water with them. Their enemies to lovers vibe was on point. This book could be a 5 stars for me. But, I'm not a fan of insta love they have. It could've been a great enemies to lovers.

I really enjoyed the push and pull/tease and test of their initial relationship and just when you were lulled into a sense of familiarity…BAM! The book takes a crazy turn and the action goes full force. and this hero was completely useless. For a man who wants to head the “clan” (aka: mafia) he was wildly inept. He had one job, to keep the 2 women in his life safe, and he failed several times. Maybe wanted something more, but overall was a good read, kept me interested, unlike some other books recently.. ! The h was in a dreadful arranged marriage but it was definitely not the stuff of dark romance fairytales. Her husband is a literal sociopath I think. The book opens two months into the marriage. We learn he did unpleasantly consummate their marriage on their wedding night but it turns out he had more sadistic tastes. He didn’t physically hurt h, he forced her to torture and kill his marks with him. She’s summoned home from a bridal shower early to find he has a girl, a job, she’s meant to help him torture. Instead she helps her escape and shoots her husband.

Fue una lectura rápida para mí. Es una historia bien escrita que me mantuvo más entretenida en el aspecto de la mafia que la misma atracción entre la pareja. I have this fantasy where I bend you over my desk, fill you with my c💦m, and make you spend the rest of the day with me dripping down your thighs.” ❞ Perfect mix of plot and spice, some twosts were expected but still good but some twists were very unexpected and made the book that much better! the hero’s 1st pov isn’t a complete simp fest. He’s intrigued by the heroine but not creating wedding mood boards quite yet.Overall I enjoyed the writing style. The choices the author made early helped me move past stuff that would typically annoy me.

One thing that I really liked about this book was that Damiano De Rossi is possessive but not controlling. His possessiveness is out of wanting to protect her versus being controlling as a lot of possessive males are written like. He helps her as she’s unexperienced in the bedroom department and takes care of her even when they are enemies for a bit. He helps her learn to be independent and that she should forgive herself for helping her husband when she had no control over it. I've been raised to be the perfect mafia wife, but when my marriage turns into a horrific nightmare, I have no choice but to leave everything behind and start a new life. The beginning didn’t linger for long and I absolutely loved that we saw Vale make her own way before meeting up with Dem. I felt so many emotions for her when she was on her own, penniless and terrified of what to do next. the author ate and left no crumbs . I find it hard to believe this was her first mafia romance because she aced it . The world building was AMAZING : simple , straight to the point , no fluff .the WRITING got me hooked from start to finish . I COULDN'T put the book down .The FMC's ( Valentina ) character development was everything , I felt it in my body . Seriously if it was me I would never survive what she had gone through. I want to give her a long hug and praise her for her character growth . The MMC's ( Damiano ) tragic past got me shedding tears and how he grew to this wise , rational and powerful man was mind-blowing . I ABSOLUTELY loved it . The party goes all night and all morning here.” Sounds like I’m about to become a creature of the night. It could be a good thing. After all, in the dark there are more places to hide.” the hero was very tepidly jealous/possessive. I wanted the author to allow a little more give in the PC stuff so that the H could be more aggressive and intense. Beta men are bores. This is the mafia genre. Readers of the genre are expecting an intense possessive hero. This is my first time reading Gabrielle Sands' book and I gotta say, I'm impressed. I really enjoyed this book and the tension was oh my god. The h is practically a virgin, she’d only had sex with her husband once in their two months of marriage. She is technically still married to the original guy through nearly the entire book though it definitely doesn’t feel like cheating.
