The third Lola Faust dinosaur erotica went down quite smoothly. This one is about Tanis, a young Albertan who is rescued from her father's brutality by Big Al, a dinosaur with a great libido. Honestly, I was never a big dinosaur fan as a kid( though I adored Land Before Time) but I do find these stories quite entertaining. The pair move on to have many adventures including a foray at a North Dakota polyamorous dino/human sex cult, shoplifting (one armed bandit), a brush with kidnappers, and finally settle down at a slaughterhouse. And they do this all despite having only one opposable thumb between the two of them. Tania is very well adapted to life w one arm despite no formal rehab. Move aside Big Al, Tania is the actual real savage beast here. Never before have I been so gifted by a book. A full short story collection of some of the most cursed stuff I have read? Sign me up! Anything you could ever want from a dinosaur romance and then more. I was both horrified and amused the whole time. 10 out of 10 would read again. Through this book, Erin really learns more about herself as a person and by the end emerges as a character with a new understanding of what love can be. We see that humans and dinosaurs aren’t that different in the way that we can feel. Every dinosaur encounter is a chance to explore something new and learn from those experiences which can be seen as a metaphor for life in general.Three stars for an entertaining read! And if you couldn’t tell already, this is smutty…four flames for smut! If you’re expecting more than that, this is probably not the book for you The copy I received via NetGalley had some typos/formatting issues hopefully these were corrected before the book was published.

And it delivered. Dinosaur erotica, who knew? Big Al was a lovable character, slowly learning more about human mores and expectation. Tanis is a compelling protagonist, coming into her own and very much taking charge where need be. She's here to protect her... Dino Man even as he protects her in turn. They were a good interspecies pair, and the author was careful to portray the dinosaurs as just as intelligent as humans to avoid any iffy consent issues. Also, very much appreciated the content warnings at the front, even if they are baffling to read. But when I signed up for a NetGalley account a few weeks ago and saw that one of the books on the "Read Now" had one of those old-school romance covers with a *dinosaur* on it, I could not pass it up. Tanis was a simple country girl, desperate to escape life on the farm. Big Al was everything she was lusting for... a sexy bad boy carnosaur from the wrong side of the food chain. Would their forbidden love tear her family-- or her flesh-- apart? I would not recommend for everyone but to those who already read themes like this or want to dabble.
