The team that created Vecna masterfully captured the final phase of his tortured transformation - trying to recreate this same build would have been foolish (financially and artistically), instead I chose to both honor the Stranger Things’ Special FX Team’s creation, as well as offer a phase of Vecna’s metamorphosis that did not make it to film. It was also more cost-efficient to create this version rather than creating a body cast of my son, hire a team of artists and then spending 10-12 hours slathering my son with latex and makeup on Halloween morning. Remember that thing we just said about the kids having great looks this season? That may have been a slight overstatement as we take a look at Eleven’s outfits. There’s the iconic dress and shirt combo she wears roller skating, and the white bodysuit she wears in Nevada. Ahhh Will. Poor, sweet Will. We don’t only feel sorry for him because of how Eleven and Mike treat him all season. But also – and mostly – because of his mushroom haircut that the producers just won’t let him get rid of!
