About this deal

My first port of call is to usually buy the latest Michael Connelly, Mark Billingham or Paul Finch to name a few, however, Steve Cavanagh is an Irish lawyer and author born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He got into law entirely by mistake when he was accepted by university for two choices; Law or Business & Marketing. He had already decided to undertake a business studies degree but a night of binge drinking and he found himself in the Law queue. By the time he realized his mistake it was too late and his fees was already paid. He would later undertake a Master in law while living in Cardiff which was also the time he began dabbling in the writing of screenplays. He never made anything of his screenplays and decided to return to Belfast where he became an investigator with a reputable law firm working on anything from catastrophic incidents, accidents at work, to road traffic collisions. He soon got his solicitor qualifications gaining valuable experience in the process and becoming one of the best young lawyers in the country. In 2009 he moved into civil rights law and made a name for himself when in 2010 he represented a factory worker in a historic racial abuse case that resulted in a landmark damages ruling. Steve currently works in the fields of Personal Injury Law, Employment Law, Discrimination Law, and Judicial Review. In addition to practicing law, he also lectures on a variety of legal subjects pertinent in the UK and Ireland. Eventually, Orion won and became Steve’s major publisher, which published the Steve Cavanagh debut novel, The Defence, the first book in the Eddie Flynn series, featuring Eddie, an ex-con artist turned lawyer. As a child, he loved reading books, but when at the age of 12 his mom, Bridie Mearns, gave him a copy of the book The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris, he really started focusing all his attention on crime, mystery, and thriller novels, and read everything he could get his hands on, including books by authors like Michael Connelly, Lee Child, and John Connolly, among others. Some of these authors also influenced his later writing. I found the book hard going and I am soooooo disappointed I did as I loved the authors last book THIRTEEN ( one of my fav’s last year) but although as say its original

Steve Cavanagh - Book Series In Order Steve Cavanagh - Book Series In Order

A fantastic standalone thriller. Punchy, ridiculously gripping, fast-paced, clever. Beautifully-plotted and incredibly fun to read. He's done it again. SUPERB. * Will Dean * I was excited to read this ENTICING stand-alone from Steve Cavanagh, who is one of my favorite “legal thriller” writers, but unfortunately it wasn’t quite as good as the Eddie Flynn series.

While gaining valuable experience in his field of work, he also got his solicitor qualifications, which allowed him to become a famous young lawyer in his country. Couldn’t put them down and stayed up till the small hours, so looking forward to your next books.. keep up the good work. Thanks. With The Defense, the first book by the author, Steve Cavanagh showed the world that to win a case, the truth is not always necessary. All you need is to prove something, whether it’s true or not. In the author’s own words, “whoever tells the best story usually wins.” Very few know who bestselling mystery author J T LeBeau is, which is a mystery in itself. However, one woman thinks she's located him and believes him to be a lot closer to home than she imagined (or she'd like). The truth is a lot more complicated than that, which leads to interesting, engaging chapters that take you on such a journey that you're pleasantly unsettled throughout. Well worth a read. * Woman's Way *

Outstanding. Totally absorbing and compelling. A masterpiece in thriller plotting– twists and turns at a ferocious pace, leading to a nail-biting conclusion.’ Mel Sherrat The truth can be far too brutal.Maria has been married to Paul Cooper for almost two years, but not very happily. Paul travels a lot, and he’s emotionally distant even when he’s home. So Maria has been having an affair with Daryl for almost five months. But just as she’s preparing to leave Paul, she finds some papers that show he’s been hiding his identity from her this whole time, that Paul is really the secretive, best-selling author J.T. LeBeau. Angry at his deception, Maria decides to stage her discovery as a burglary to try to pressure Paul into telling her the truth. But Paul has more he’s hiding than than just his secret life as an author, and Maria has started a chain reaction that threatens them both …. One evening, two strangers meet. They both want revenge against two men who destroyed their families. So they agree, they will trade murders. Just like Two Strangers on a Train (also referenced in the book). Except nothing ever goes to plan in these wild scenarios and a thoroughly entertaining story unfolds. Then there came a major medical flaw. There were 2 of them but I let go of the first one because miracles happen in the medical field, the second I couldn't let go.A fantastic read. Guaranteed to be one of the big books of 2019. You won't be able to put this down. It's about time we found out the truth about JT LeBeau... * Luca Veste * The biggest problem though, is that ‘Twisted’ really feels built around the turns in its plot. The characters and events are just there to carry you from one twist to another. As a result, I found myself not caring at all about what happened to the people I was reading about. That is the kiss of death for any book, no matter how good the twists are. We know that J.T. could be pseudonym for a very reclusive author who ALWAYS writes a KILLER TWIST-and that his murders seem SO real, it’s UNCANNY…. This will be my last book. I won’t write another. The reason should be clear by the time you come to the end of the story. That’s an interesting word-story. Is this a true story? Is it a memoir? Or fiction? I can’t say… There are only two things you need to know: It's full of gritty secrets, lies, deceit, hidden identity, red herrings, and just when you think you found the puzzle piece, think again!

A fantastic read . Guaranteed to be one of the big books of 2019 . You won't be able to put this down. It's about time we found out the truth about JT LeBeau...' Luca VesteWhat a cleverly written book this was. This is definitely written for readers. And most definitely for those that love deeper twists in books that they think they’ve worked out.......but I beg to differ. Twisted’ is a stand alone, very original in plot and idea and with a completely different ‘concept’ to anything I have read begore
