About this deal

The couple. I didn't feel anything for them at all. Aiden, the Mr. Darcy of the story (but I refuse to see him as a man close enough to be even compared to Mr. Darcy), says Frankie looks like a stripper, is a bachelor by choice (he prefers no strings), and honestly, I'm starting to forget already. And Frankie isn't even better. She comes off as selfish and insensitive at times, not at all like Elizabeth Bennet, the strong heroine she was inspired by. The book introduces readers to both Lina’s family and Max’s. Where Lina’s family is warm and involved in each other’s lives, Max’s family is more distant from each other. How did you go about crafting each family’s unique dynamic? Did you set out to have the families be foils or mirrors of each other in specific ways?

The story was a mixed bag for me, though. I’ve made it to a point where some humor and some threads that are now commonplace in nearly every romance novel are getting old or missing the mark for me... Soon Lina and Max discover animosity may not be the only emotion creating sparks between them. Still, this star-crossed couple can never be more than temporary playmates because Lina isn't interested in falling in love and Max refuses to play runner-up to his brother ever again... guy who doesn’t want to fall in love cause he thinks it’s a weakness / girl who only wants someone who’s 100% inLui è il rampollo dei multimilionari Kilbourn, quarantenne cresciuto a pane e tradimenti familiari, sempre salvando le apparenze; non si fida del prossimo, non si fida delle donne che cercano in lui (solo) l'amore. Or maybe I’m just getting old. But- the story was also too busy for me, with too many characters, too many fake relationships, and all that chemistry everyone was raving about was MIA for me.

To my surprise i do enjoy the story very much. Aiden and Francesca are 2 characters that so much in sync with each other. They fulfill each other perfectly. Aiden is burned up hero who has the weight of his family on his shoulder. Meanwhile Francesca is running the world becoming everybody fixer. She is also under appreciated. Taken for granted. So when their world collides, so is the explosion. Sosa steps up the steam level in this one, I was not anticipating that party lolz, darn sneaky colleague but 🌶️ for our MCs bonding 😈 Separation: Yes They are separated (maybe a few months at the most?), but there was no mention or suggestion of other partners during this time. The first 20% of the book was a mess. The whole wedding made me shake my head so much. I wasn't expecting to have that much drama at theYes, another fake dating book. At this point, I’m pretty sure there are exactly 4,276 fake-dating books out there. Source: Trust me.
