About this deal

Why does he only sleep for two 30 minute naps? Does he wake after 30 minutes no matter what? It sounds like he needs more sleep in the day. Oh my goodness, this sounds so hard. It’s completely normal to feel frustrated and resentful and burnt out by this, so let those feelings wash over you and don’t beat yourself up for them. A few thoughts: Can you pump and give him a bottle before bed rather than breast so you know he’s getting a nice big feed, then put him down to sleep? Plus you can build a bit of a controlled routine. For example, feeding at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm and bedtime feed at 7pm. Afterwhich, through the night I don’t wake them, I let them sleep and they will naturally start to sleep longer and longer in-between feeds.

The Sensational Baby Sleep Plan By Alison Scott-Wright - Wob

What I would urge you to do is read the last chapter of my book first, which is all about reflux, digestive issues, and dietary intolerances. You asked for advice here from anyone who had used her methods not to be put down for trying something that someone else may not agree with. Sounds terrible. I never had this. I had ds's in their own rooms asap, own cot. Bath, breastfeed, bed. Straight to sleep. Me downstairs to watch tv with Dh, then bed. Breastfeed at 10pm, 2am, 6am.weaning is an option as well. Clearly exclusively bf isn’t filling baby up enough, they usually go through a growth spurt around then. Transworld imprint Bantam Press will publish The Sensational Toddler Sleep Planby Alison Scott-Wright, afollow-up to the 2010 title The Sensational Baby Sleep Plan, also published by the imprint. And for when you're ready to move on to the next stage in sleep-filled parenting: The Sensational Toddler Sleep Plan! It’s basically let your child cry until they settle themselves whilst you are repeating the same thing

This book has some really good general information relating to sleep and feeding. At this point I will not be trying the plan as part of it entails using a bottle and watering down feeds and I am fully breastfeeding. In the last month, we have had some success because my mother said that we shouldn't jump everytime she makes a sound but to give her a few minutes. And it's true, sometimes, she's just being moany so I leave her and a lot of the time she falls asleep. But I don't leave her to cry out (escalating crying) - there is always a reason - whether there is wind, teething, etc. Disregards all the SIDS advice by saying babies should sleep on their tummies or wedge on their side! it’s not forever! Everything is a phase, and at some point your baby will sleep through the evenings and you will have some adult time again. I know you know that, but it’s important to keep hearing it and saying it. This is why I formula fed - so dh could share the care. I don’t think I could feed every 2 hours every night, that sounds utterly exhausting and soul destroying.I’m not sure one needs to read a book to know this and surprised so many people have bought this book to do it.
