About this deal

This is a cute collection of Rainbow Fish stories. The graphics are bright and colorful. At the end of the book are activities for the child to engage in. From Romper: The Rainbow Fish follows a little fish in the ocean, but, as readers learn, this isn't just an average, everyday fish, it's “the most beautiful fish in the entire ocean.” Unlike ordinary fish, this one has gorgeous, sparkly scales in various shades of beautiful colors. The fish could keep all of his beauty to himself, but instead, he shares it with his friends and feels immense joy in doing so. This book is full of gorgeous artwork. Rainbow Fish carefully pulled off the very smallest of his glittering scales. \"Here, I’ll give you this one! But now leave me in peace!\" Ahem. Nice little book that teaches sharing, or subtle liberal socialist propaganda which teaches to give away all and anything special about yourself or what you have for the betterment of the whole?

The Rainbow Fish is a story about a spectacular fish with amazing scales. Soon, other - boring fish - come and request a scale from the fish who turns them all down. The boring fish leave, causing the Rainbow Fish to be lonely. The Rainbow fish goes on a journey to discover why the other fish don't like him. Color in the Rainbow Fish" where you can use the image to make multiple copies...good for parents, caregivers and teachers. I've just read a one-star review of this book that was, to me, highly amusing. It has been one-starred because the reviewer thinks it is nothing but socialist propaganda, in other words it's going to lead toddlers and little children straight down the Red Road to Communism. From the attractive illustrations with shiny accents, to the uplifting message of sharing and friendship, this is an absolutely beautiful book and is a joy to read. The Rainbow Fish gives away his most prized possessions. What are your most prized possessions? Why are they important to you? Jump down the rabbit hole with our beautiful collection of The Tale of Peter Rabbit resources. A timeless classic story about a mischievous rabbit who gets chased around the garden by Mr McGregor. That's not, by any stretch of the imagination, a good lesson for kids. I can see what the author was going for (sharing is good, generosity feels wonderful) but he chose a poor vehicle for that moral, and the result is a book I'm planning to drastically rewrite before sharing with my son again.

The Rainbow Fish is a children's picture book drawn and written by Swiss author and illustrator, Marcus Pfister, and translated into English by J. Alison James. The book is best known for the distinctive shiny foil scales of the Rainbow Fish. Decode Entertainment turned the story into an animated television series of the same name, which aired on the HBO Family television channel in the United States and Teletoon in Canada from 1999 until 2000. [1] Plot [ edit ]

Pfister starts the book off with the narrator describing how beautiful the Rainbow Fish, who does not otherwise have a name, is. He has laser focus on the physical beauty here, but I’ll give him that, since it’s a metaphor. Okay, cool. When the octopus says, “… You will discover how to be happy,” is she saying that what Rainbow Fish thought of as happy before wasn’t actually true happiness? It seems the Rainbow Fish does care, however, because with no one willing to interact with him, there is also no one who is there to admire his “dazzling, shimmering scales.” Frankly, I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Rainbow Fish, but his co-fish are pretty awful, too. There is a section called Fun And Games for children and adults to do together. This also provides a references list.

In the beginning, the most beautiful fish in the ocean does not want to share one of his shining scales with a little blue fish. All the other fish in the sea ignore him after this and he does not understand why. He goes to the wise octopus for advice, and she tells him to give away his scales. Rainbow Fish reluctantly gives away all but one of his scales. In the end, he is less beautiful than he was before, but he has new friends and is now the happiest fish in the sea. Campos-Duffy, Rachel. "Rachel Campos-Duffy: Fighting socialism starts with 'The Little Red Hen' ". www.foxnews.com/. Fox News . Retrieved 9 November 2021. I remember reading the book The Rainbow Fish a long time ago and I enjoyed it. This book however has several other Rainbow Fish stories within this one book. This is a beautiful book with illustrations that provides good life lessons for young children. At one point in the story, the Rainbow Fish becomes the ‘loneliest fish in the entire ocean’. Try a role play activity to interview him and find out how he is feeling. Can you suggest things that he could do to find some friends? Like the above treat, this one has both sweet and salty components. This recipe has yummy additions like dried pineapple, dried cranberries, salty pretzels, popcorn, and lots of different color candy melts for the rainbow drizzle. Last week we announced our World Book Day 2020 selection for both our Bringing Books to Life dance workshops and our Story Explorer drama workshops.
