About this deal

In 2013 it was announced that there would be a sequel to The Time Traveler's Wife [15] and in 2022 it was announced that title is The Other Husband set to be released in 2023. [15] [16] [17] Visual books [ edit ] The ending caught me completely unaware. I did not see that coming at all, but I would have liked a bit more development there as I think there were some unanswered questions. Oh, what a great ride this book was... her best book yet! She writes a great story... keeps you guessing right to the very end! I absolutely loved this book... can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!’ Goodreads Reviewer, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ He’s been having some trouble at school,’ Greg says, ‘fighting with some boys in his class who’ve been bullying him.’ Mr. Wrong: Real-Life Stories about the Men We Used to Love (Jacquelyn Mitchard, Harriet Brown, et al.)

a b Watson, Sasha (August 9, 2010). "Prose to Graphic Novel: Audrey Niffenegger & Diane Gabaldon Make the Leap". Publishers Weekly. 257 (32): 27. ProQuest 745196706. She said: "I started working on Alba's life because Zola Books was issuing the ebook for [Time Traveler’s Wife] and they asked for an 'extra'. Then I got a bit obsessed with her, and decided to keep working on it. The sequel is about Alba, mostly Alba as an adult. It's about her relationships (she is married to two very different men) and her family life and her struggles with making music. The silence in the room is excruciating. ‘How’s school?’ she asks to fill the void. Yet as soon as she says it, she’s aware that if he’s being bullied and getting into fights, then this is the last thing he will want to discuss. Still, it is an opening for him to talk to her about it if he wants to, although she doubts this will be the case.I read it in one day ... The ending is also fantastic and is a real gut punch for the reader. Highly recommended, a must-read novel!’ NetGalley review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh, what a great ride this book was… her best book yet! She writes a great story… keeps you guessing right to the very end! I absolutely loved this book… can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!’ Goodreads Reviewer, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book had me guessing right up until the very last chapter … I couldn’t put it down. A perfect thriller!’ NetGalley review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Marty is a cardiothoracic surgeon and Greg’s closest friend at work. She had no idea what cardiothoracic meant when she first applied for a job at St.Thomas’, but she’d made sure she did her research, spending hours filling herself up with medical information that wouldn’t ever come up in the interview. Although she’d had plenty of admin experience, none of it was in the medical field, so she needed an advantage to make her interviewers believe she was the only person for the job. It was never intended to be a career, just something interesting to delve into while she waited for inspiration to hit.

Niffenegger believes that changes in generational experiences and attitudes between that era and now might also be fueling the negative reactions. “People are very focused on child abuse these days; what was seen as no big deal in the 1980s is now seen as neglect. In the novel, Clare was born in 1972. Steven [Moffat] has brought the whole timeline forward by 20 years. A child of the early 2000s would have been more watched over.” “People seem to want to jump up and down on this version with cleats” I have read so much crime and mystery fiction from so many different authors. Usually there is a redeeming feature. The writing is good but apart from that, it is far-fetched, gruellingly slow, unoriginal, unexciting and just a bit of a yawn fest.

I am a regular reader of author Kathryn Croft’s novels finding them fast paced and addictive, but I found this one a little disappointing. It was still a good read but for me didn’t hit the high standards of many of the other books. Abby and Rob have recently moved to London into a lovely new home. To start a new chapter in their lives. Abby is currently unemployed, after leaving her last job at a local Primary school as an assistant deputy head which she loved. But, now finding it hard to find a new position. To fill her time, she signs up for a Pilates class but when she gets there the class is cancelled. But she meets a woman call Sienna and form a friendship. Of course I’m happy,’ she says. ‘How could I not be? This is the dream, isn’t it? A four-bed house in London.’ She gestures around, still not quite able to believe they own this place. Do her words sound as hollow as they feel? She hopes not. She’s determined not to ruin this for Rob – he’s worked so hard for promotion at his law firm, and neither of them could have known it would entail a huge move to a city she’s only ever been to once, and that was as a child. They are closer to Rob’s parents in Reading now, though, and for him that is another bonus. Are leading ladies Abby and Sienna are both very interesting characters. They have a lot of insecurities but also a lot of strength. They also hold their cards to their chest and have a lot of secrets that they are keeping from one another. However it does become clear that over the months they had become friends that maybe it was more a surface level friendship. With one of them searching for their husbands and the other Trying to be a friend at times have me shouting at the book just tell her just tell her mainly because I wanted to know what she knew.

I proudly hand over 5 twisty messed-up stars to this book!!! I loved this and all the WTF moments… It was so freakin’ cool to read! Oh let’s just say... THAT ending!... 5 Stars from me!!!’ Goodreads Reviewer, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sienna is determined to uncover what happened that night and the whereabouts of her husband and didn't care if Abby's life got torn apart in the process because as far as Sienna was concerned that was exactly what Abby deserved. The dinner. Greg’s work colleagues and their partners, none of whom ever want to give Sienna the time of day. It’s not Marty, Reuben or Harry who are the problem – it’s their wives. She can’t be sure but Sienna suspects that they look down on her. She’s not like them, not one of them, and certainly not good enough for Greg. Unlike Holly. I love reading Croft’s novels. She approaches something that others may write formulatically and twists into something fresh. This book had me guessing right up until the very last chapter ... I couldn’t put it down. A perfect thriller!’ NetGalley review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️She does this even though she’s dreading the dinner as it is, let alone having to walk into that place without Greg, to face the questioning glances of the other wives. She tells herself she can do it, that she’s managed many times before so it’s no problem to do it again. After all, wasn’t she adept at putting on a show, a pretence that everything was perfect? Greg isn’t running late on purpose – it can’t be helped. He’d been about to leave when he’d had to take over a colleague’s operation – an emergency hysterectomy. The surgeon’s wife had collapsed at home and was rushed to a hospital near their home in Surrey. Being married to a consultant gynaecologist, Sienna is used to Greg being on call, having to deal with emergencies that keep him away from home, but lately, more often than not, he seems to take every opportunity to stay away as late as possible. Rob leans across and kisses the top of her head. ‘I know you’re finding it hard not having a job here yet. A school will snap you up in no time, though.’
