About this deal

Someone visits Katherine, an FBI agent. She broke protocol to help Peter find his online harasser. The mystery visitor is here to tell her that he or she killed Henry. He or she asks Katherine for the other names she found. Katherine gives him the names and is also murdered. (We’re now calling this person the Mystery Killer.) Wilde learns an important new fact about Peter Hester Crimstein– a criminal defense lawyer and mother figure to Wilde. He was friends with Hester’s son David, who died in a car accident that also involved Wilde. Captain of the lacrosse team and a decent girl poised to join college next year with all the hopes and dreams her adoring parents, 17 year-old Haley McWaid is the pride of her suburban New Jersey family. So when she fails to come home one night, and three seemingly long months pass by without any word from her, everyone assumes the worst. There is an entire chapter of a court room scene with Hester defending a man accused of murder. In the end it has absolutely nothing to do with anything - nothing to do with Wilde, nothing to do with DNA, nothing to do with reality TV. Nothing to do with the story. (??)

Signs that Myron was a gifted basketball player were evident as early as the 6th grade, and he went on to be drafted by the Boston Celtics in the first round, until he shattered his knee during a preseason game against Washington Bullets—ending his career. Silas and Peter are uncle and nephew. I don’t understand how Silas and Wilde are related. Or who Wilde is related to. Let’s discuss this in the comments. Wilde has grown up knowing nothing of his family, and even less about his own identity . All he knows is that, as a young child, he was found living a feral existence in the Ramapo mountains of New Jersey. Your daughter disappears. She’s addicted to drugs, has an abusive boyfriend, and has made it clear that she doesn’t want to be found.

Finally, after Wilde was born, she decided to run away with Daniel and become an informant. But the crime boss found out and came after her. It seems producers of reality shows are manipulative and sneaky, and will do almost anything to boost audience interest. Already looking forward to Harlan Coben’s next release. Will he continue with this series? Return to Myron and Win? Or perhaps it’s time for another stand-alone? Whatever his direction I’m all in and will be the first in line!🙋🏻‍♀️ When a match on a DNA database puts him on the trail of a close relative - the only family member he has ever known - Wilde thinks he might be about to solve the mystery of who he really is. Home after the war, former special ops pilot, Maya, sees an unsettling image of her two-year-old daughter as captured by her nanny cam while she is at work. She sees her daughter playing with Joe, her husband, but there’s only one problem; Joe was brutally murdered two weeks earlier.

I think that this chart might better reflect Harlan Coben’s explanation. That would mean that Shirley and Sofia are not sisters, but perhaps that Shirley is Sofia’s aunt? Completely agree. But why make so much of the DNA and then not close the loop on the Silas/Wilde connection. And for that matter, how are Wilde and Peter related??? I appreciate the cautionary aspect the author has tried to convey about reality TV. (I assume that was his message). If you are a fan of reality TV you’ll love it – or maybe not.Will there be a Wilde book #3? Will the “vile man” show up in it? And will all this DNA finally be explained once and for all? Then one by one these doxxers start to die, and it soon becomes clear that a serial killer is targeting this secret community - and that his next victim might be Wilde himself ... On seeing that, you do what any parent in that position would do: you follow her into a dark and dangerous world you never knew existed. A follow-up from The Boy from the Woods, Wilde was called "Little Tarzan" and no one ever came forward to claim the abandoned little boy in the woods. He was around 6-8 yrs old when he was found.

Reporter Wendy Tynes is on a mission to identify and bring down sexual predators through highly televised sting operations. Wendy and her team, with the help of the local police, have publicly shamed dozens of men through her news program “Caught in the Act”. After months away, Wilde has returned to the Ramapo Mountains in the wake of a failed bid at domesticity that confirms what he's known all along: He belongs on his own, free from the comforts and constraints of modern life.Matt Hunter is forever hunted by the horrors of the night he genuinely tried to break up a fight, only to end up a killer. Now nine years after his release from prison, with his innocence long forgotten, the ex-con takes nothing for granted.

So when he runs into the stranger—whose motives are unclear and information is irrefutable—it turns his life upside down. No sooner does he confront his wife, Corinne, about the devastating secret he learns, than his mirage of a perfect life disappears as though it never existed. Could this be the solution? Please feel free to disagree with me in comments but do NOT make me research cousin relationships anymore. In this endeavor Wilde is assisted by his friends, including famous criminal attorney Hester Crimstein and Hester's sheriff boyfriend Oren Carmichael;

Ray was once a talented documentary photographer, but he at the age of forty has a dead-end job: reduced to a paparazzo pandering to celebrity-obsessed rich kids. The days of walking on the wild side are long gone for Megan, as she is now a suburban soccer mom with two kids, a perfect husband, the a dream home, and a growing sense of dissatisfaction.
