The action opens with a chilling scene where two people, a man and a woman, seem to be struggling with a third person that they are attempting to tie down and appear to be torturing. At one point one of them states: ‘I told you that he had the devil inside of him.’ This grisly scene will play a big role throughout the case that Inspector Henley and her team will soon be working on, a case none of them has ever seen anything like before. The closet created by using the Red Key resembles the one featured in the Official Art for Repentance and is most likely shown in Ending 21. Using items such as The D6 in the room without buying the item can cause the item to revert to a consumable. The Binding Room is a story to be read with all the lights on – and possibly a comfort animal or two or ten cuddled around. Because it’s not really about that simple murder. It’s a case about the evil that men and women do and it gets under the reader’s skin and just oozes and you can’t stop wanting to scratch it away. While this can be read as a standalone, I think it was more meaningful knowing the characters ahead of time to feel connected to their personal life plot threads.
