I first read this book during my HSP, and it was a firm favourite of the class. When my mentor asked me to bring a book during the first week of my placement, I instantly thought of this story and wanted to share it again. Hello Yellow - 80 Books to Help Children Nurture Good Mental Health and Support With Anxiety and Wellbeing - I understand that this book is one of many in a series which uses the same plot structure repeatedly with different fantastic creatures (unicorns, mermaids). I'm taking a star off for this reason as formulaic writing does not impress me as much. It probably doesn't matter to children, however. Written specifically for bedtime, this story is full of muddy puddles, tropical birds, erupting volcanoes... and one fun-loving little dinosaur. Rumble the dinosaur is having a wild adventure, all in the ten minutes before his bedtime. Running through the jungle, stampeding with other dinos and seeing a volcano erupt makes for one tired little dinosaur. His reunion with his mum at bedtime is a beautiful ending to the exciting story.
