About this deal

Basically, yes it is compatible with any board but this extruder is designed for the Ender 3 S1 only and is difficult to install on other printers. instead I would recommend the Sprite Extruder Pro which comes with a cable and mount which is suitable for Ender 3-style printers. Please note, it comes with standard Creality connections (JST-XH) so if you're board uses other ones you may have to change them. I thought that i`m doing something wrong and so i have already printed from 80%-110% flow everything but nothing from them looks good. The articles also cover the installation of KIAUH which is a handy tool to have when running Klipper. Prepare and install Klipper firmware for Ender 3 S1 Configure Klipper for Ender 3 S1 There is no reason to replace the whole Sprite extruder with the Pro version if you only want to improve thermal performance and eliminate maintenance from time to time, to replace the PTFE tube.

When finished, press Q then Y to save your configuration. Now run the following command to start building the firmware: make I mean. . . Just buy a pi and be done with it. If you don’t want to pay for a pi, buy a btt pi, such as the cb1. I genuinely think that going this route will make it easier on yourself, but do what you think best. Btw I have compiled firmware many times for klipper, and it’s not hard at all. The fact that you have an ender 3 will also make it easier, because I’m 99% sure that someone else has the same setup as you; and you could just use their configuration. Even though the manual assumes you are running an Ender 3, the information is a lot more helpful compared to getting no information, like with the Artillery All-Metal Extruder.Despite its small size of only 54 x 50 x 64.3 mm and a weight of only 288 g, the Sprite Pro is a powerful combination of extruder and hotend that offers many practical functions.

The new design works very well, and provides superior grip on the filament. Unfortunately, there are a few design flaws of this extruder which will cause it to wear over time:The last thing you need to know is that in Jyers the Z homing is done off the corner, contrasted with the official Creality firmware. Therefore, you need to mind the header of the Gcode created by Cura (or your slicer). Change the 'home all axes' setting to just home the X and Y axis (so you start from the corner.

Because the Sprite extruder is a direct drive extruder and doesn’t need to push the filament through a long tube to the hot end, it requires a much shorter retraction distance than Bowden extruders. You should adjust the retraction settings in your slicer accordingly. The Sprite Pro is a Sprite extruder with an integrated all-metal hot end. This allows the Sprite Pro to heat up to 300° C, which enables it to print high-temperature materials such as nylon. In all other respects, the Sprite Pro is the same as the Sprite—there are no changes to the extruder itself. Please ensure that Relative Extrusion is enabled when importing the profile. In some cases, IdeaMakerdoes not import the profile correctly. This is under Printer Settings -> Advanced -> Relative Extrusion Wrapping up After upgrading to a dual-gear metal extruder or a direct drive extruder, you’ll need to set the E-steps on your printer to match the extruder. The new setting will depend on the specific extruder model you are updating to, and you should always start with the setting in the reference material that is included. Generally, the settings should be close to the below for each extruder type:

Here, we'll be saying, "Hey, motherboard? Ma'am? Wherever the nozzle stops, that's not it. Move the bed about a centimetre." The Sprite extruder is also available in a special kit that includes only the extruder itself and is designed to work with the existing hot end on many Creality printers. This version of the Sprite allows users to upgrade a Bowden extruder printer to direct drive without replacing the wiring harness for the hot end, and is also available at a much lower price than the full Sprite extruder and hot end upgrade. It’s compatible with many of Creality’s Bowden-equipped printers, including the CR-10, Ender 3, Ender 3 V2, and Ender 5.

Klipperis an open-source firmware for your 3D printer that combines the power of a Raspberry Piand your printer mainboard for better printer control. By doing this, you are able to run your printer at higher speeds with better precision and control. Why Install Klipper on Creality Ender 3 S1? Customized Dual Fan]: Simulation of flow field mechanics and dual fan design results in powerful heat dissipation function and more stable model formation.Upgrading Ender 3 S1 Extruder to Sprite Extruder Pro. It's a drop in upgrade to Ender 3 S1 and CR 10 Smart Pro. In the pictures below, you can see the print quality you can expect after upgrading your Ender 3 S1 to Klipper. The first calibration cube was printed with 50mm/s, during my review. The second calibration cube was printed at 100mm/s with the Klipper config shared in this article. Bowden extruders are mounted separately from the print head, typically on the side of the printer, and route filament to the hot end using PTFE tubing (otherwise known as the Bowden tube). The gears have sharp teeth that sink into the filament when turning meaning that you need to make sure the tensioning screw for the idler is not too tight.
