Primer filler, while also suitable for such tasks, can also be used on a larger scale without detriment to the end result, like during the preparation of fibreglass panels or filling car park dents. Spot putty is a great material and like any great material, slightly toxic. Gloves are a must as spot putty is basically dye, resin, and talcum powder, and a mask is based on personal preference but always encouraged.
