I had this problem on my Senator Series 6 (now sold). I solved it by not pulling the blind to it's fullest extent all the way to the bottom - leaving a tiny gap at the very bottom - no more than a centimetre or so, meant that the problem seemed to cure itself. Although we dont fit these windows types in our caravans now, condensation was not the reason for the change. We did it to rationalise the amounts variants and sizes we use. x 6mm x 4m long | 1.5mm x 9mm x 4m long | 1.5mm x 12mm x 4m long | 1.5mm x 15mm x 4m long | 1.5mm x 19mm x 4m long | 1.5mm x 25mm 4m long | 1.5mm x 30mm 4m long | 1.5mm x 35mm x 4m long | 1.5mm x 40mm 4m long | 1.5mm x 50mm 4m long | 1.5mm x 100mm x 4m As to Swift the company - I can assure you it would be hard to find a company that supports it's products as well as they do. You will have seen they get involved on this forum and listen to what we have to say.Combining functionality with aesthetics, the colourful patterns of the scouring surface of these sponges acts as a protective layer when in use, keeping them efficient for longer. I think most caravans suffer with condensation to some degree in very cold weather. To make it easy to clean up in the morning I've just purchsed a product called Spontex Drip Strip. It's on a 6 metre roll which you cut to lenght. It is highly absorbent and you just squeeze it out and use it again. I brought it in Focus DIY. p>Discover, Protect 100 disposable gloves by Spontex, the perfect partners for all your daily activities!

Thanks for your comments and whilst talking to your window manufacturers, would you ask about the small slits at the base and if they are there to drain and if yes - where does the water go. I have been thinking fitting thin strips of foam, (or some thing similar), that would do the job to soak up the moisture.

Yep - know that. So that is what the slits are for under the blinds - interesting concept. Wonder if the moisture might find it's way down them into the cavity wall of the caravan when there are extreme temperature differences of inside to out and there is plenty of moisture running down the frames The Sundance, Bolero & Voyager use the rubber framed windows. The Kontiki & E700 use the aluminium framed windows. We too have metal framed windows in our Sterling and have also suffered at times from very wet frames in the morning - whoever opens the blinds wipes the frames. Opening windows in very cold conditions is definitely not an option especially when one of those windows is a few inches from me when in bed!!!! However, we were away at New Year in similar temperatures to you, in fact I don't think it got above freezing all week, the fire was on blown air 24/7 for the whole week - in the mornings we only had condensation on the window over the sink in the kitchen area, all the others were dry as a bone; why? - I have no idea, we'd obviously got the temperature right somehow. When away in extreme conditions we open the extractor rooflight and run the extractor when cooking and for about 5 minutes after otherwise we don't open the windows - ridiculous to heat the van and then open windows to let in the freezing air. Last winter I had the same problem with one of the side windows to such an extent that the water was getting into the panel below the the window and there was a high meter reading in one particular small area. I removed the blind cassette and used a fan heater to dry out the area and have kept an eye on it using my own Protometer and the readings are acceptable . I did not have time to take readings this morning under the window in the toilet which is in fact the wood panel. Last year my initial thought was the window seal could be leaking although the condensation issue now seems the most likely. We think our caravan is fantastic and can easily put up with condensation. (Lets face it - we only experience it for a few months of the year).

The foam creates a waterproof seal and is great for stopping draughts. My van is a 2005 Abbey with aluminium window frames and persistent condensation issues with this type of window. p>You can clean your floors in no time at all with this great Spontex Catch & Clean Rubber Broom and Dustpan.

It comes in a stylish blue colour that will add a pop of colour to your home and can be stored in your utility cupboard for whenever you need to sweep up!

This rubber broom is much more efficient than a traditional bristle broom with a clever and effective dustpan that you can really rely on.

You can pop your shoe in... The van has been in storage over the winter and when I was getting it ready to take it to the local dealer this morning for the annual service, I noticed two puddles of water on the inside sill of the frame in the rear toilet compartment. The blind on this window has been half open for the past 5 months to allow air to circulate. The other blinds have been open fully all winter. These Spontex Softhands Medium Rubber Gloves can protect and care for your hands leaving them soft and beautiful! Is there anything available to absorb the water and is there a problem building up with damp underneath the windows? Unfortunately the alloy framed windows are a typical example of style over function I cannot believe that they are still being used the thermal insulation of the frames is practically zero so if its cold outside the condensation is inevitable it can as mentioned in a previous be reduced by leaving the windows on the night catch, it was the only thing we did not like on our Abbey and the plastic frames were the best thing on our Compass Oddesey they suffered from minimal condensation because of their thermal insulation properties. Thanks Andy - unfortunately on many occasions when the temperature is low (well below freezing - we were minus 14 at night over New year) the answer is not to open the windows on the night setting, you can imagine I am sure just how cold it is by an open window, not great when it is a large one by the fixed bed!!! Are these windows used in all your motorhomes (we are looking to change to a motorhome and were thinking of the new low profile, 4 belted seats fixed bed versions).
