About this deal

Sleepovers a beautiful children's novel written by Jaccqueline Wilson (@jacqueline_wilson_official ) is all about friendship & birthday parties, all that a little girl would love. And why speak of little girl? I enjoyed it throughout. Keri Beevis has a wonderful writing style and you feel so incredibly invested in the story, as well as the characters! Oh, and I’d have to say my favorite, favorite character was Tank, the extraordinarily lovable dog!! His presence in the book added so very much in my opinion! But being partial to dogs (I have 4 dachshunds), how could this have not made the book better and more memorable?! For fans of Harlan Coben, Miranda Rijks, and K. L. Slater. If you are looking for an eerie, sinister, frightening, creepy, and terrifying read, this is it! You may want to leave the lights on. The characters in this are okay, although I do not think there is enough character development for them to be likeable. I did not even warm to Izzy that much and we follow her for the entire read. There are some interesting characters and dynamics in this but King does not develop them enough to really get the benefit. Again, this felt like a wasted opportunity.

Sleepover – Stephen Davies The Ancient Egypt Sleepover – Stephen Davies

with THE SLEEPOVER —A dark and spine-chilling psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat with one eye open, afraid of what will happen next. Samantha King writes psychological suspense novels and lives in west London with her husband and two young children. Jacqueline is also a great reader, and has amassed over 20,000 books, along with her famous collection of silver rings.

As an English graduate and lifelong bookworm, becoming an author was always Samantha’s dream. This passion for storytelling led her first to a career in publishing, managing a commercial fiction imprint for a global publisher. After fifteen years, she abandoned office life in favour of working from home as a freelance editor for various publishers and literary agents. When strange things start happening with notes, flowers, a music box, and things only Rosie and Hannah would understand. They are fearful either Eileen or Bill is trying to teach them a lesson. However, no one can find Eileen. Samantha King admits that she chose Twelve as an in between age, but there were instances where the kid didn't own a smartphone felt a little farfetched.

books for children learning about Ancient Egypt 7 incredible books for children learning about Ancient Egypt

Almost all children study pharaohs and mummies in primary school and are fascinated by them. This is the centenary year of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb and children’s books about Ancient Egypt are in greater demand than ever. Here are some personal recommendations from author Stephen Davies, beginning with his own newly-published book. I myself enjoyed this story as Jacqueline Wilson does have a great talent when it comes to writing stories which many children and adults can relate to, and also because she writes in such a way to make light of any situation which may be unpleasant. There was also a good use of illustration throughout the book, which was very useful in supporting the story, while at the same time, it was simple and did not divert too much attention away from reading. PS : - Bullies are a true pain in the ass. But they will be defeated in the end, no matter how much they boss around you😁🤭 So just keep Calm & wait😉Other titles I've written include Trust No One, Every Little Breath, The People Next Door, With Friends Like These, M for Murder and D for Dead. This book is told in first person present tense. It's a weird type of writing; one I can't really get past. I was taught in school not to write this way, so when I find a book that is, I find myself yelling in my head at the writing. I also ran across a couple proofreading errors, but they didn't really detract from the story. I can see The Ancient Egypt Sleepover being a brilliant book to use in the classroom when learning about Ancient Egypt Paul Watson wrote:

Educational and utterly engaging. Perfect for Key Stage 2 classes studying Ancient Egypt Scott Evans, the Reacher Teacher, wrote: stars, I did finish this book and for the most part found it to be a good read, but it didn’t wow me. I think if marketed towards those who are not into more disturbing or even younger thriller readers, it would be a much more successful book, as it seemed a bit off compared to my more dark thrilling reads. Overall, it was written pretty good, with some fun thrills, chills, and twists. I wouldn’t say it was unputdownable, but it was captivating enough to want to finish. I think that it had some really fast paced and hard for parents to read parts, but others were a tad too show for me. Overall, I think if you’re one who doesn’t want too much disturbing and dark content. This is your book!

Amy, Bella, Chloe, Daisy and Emily are friends at school and have their own Alphabet Club (just look at their initials!). Daisy is the newest member and is desperate to fit in, even though Chloe is distinctly unfriendly to her at times. Throughout Daisy's first year at the school, the girls plan ever-more elaborate sleepover parties for their birthdays. Daisy is dreading the time when her birthday comes round as she doesn't know what her friends will make of sleeping over at her home, with her rather special older sister... The Hixton Five consisted of Hannah, Lauren, Jill, Rosie, and Tash. Jill's brother Miles was now gone because of THE MONSTER. This story is narrated by Daisy, she has a group of friends Amy, Bella, Chole & Emily. Amy & Bella are best friends, Chole & Emily are best friends, & daisy really likes Emily & wishes to be her best friend. All girls are good mannered except Chole & Chole hurts Daisy alot. When they start having sleepovers for each other's birthday party, chole makes it hard for Daisy, who howsoever never complains about Chole & is greatful that she got invited to the sleepovers.

When you arrive you’ll be greeted in our themed Resort Hotel by one of our festive VIP hosts who will ensure you get the very most out of your visit.I read this book in just over a day. It really gripped me right from the start and I couldn't put it down. I was convinced a certain character was guilty but I was completely wrong. As the boys are so young it was quite difficult to believe what was happening. I would give this between 3 and a half and 4 stars, something was missing for me. I think the ending just wasn't what I was expecting and not quite my cup of tea but still really enjoyable.
