About this deal

I am really glad to have read this book.. it doesn't really answer all questions, but it gives good advises to beat overthinking.. It was such an honor to host this trip for you and your daughter. We will look forward to another opportunity to be at your service. There is a fine line between thinking and overthinking. How to know when I'm crossing the line? Why am I asking this is because we all know we need to think before we take actions. Now, once an action is taken, you can't really do anything about it and that is absolutely fine. BUT, when you are about to take an action (in certain cases) you are taking into account the possible outcomes. Based on that either you change your modus operandi or you don't take the action at all. Slowly count down from five to one. As you count down, use each number as a cue to engage one of your five senses. Five – look at five objects in your environment. Four – hear four distinct sounds. Three – feel three sensations. Two – detect two smells. One – identify one taste.

It's more like a friend, philosopher and guide than a book. Felt like the author herself is talking to you, taking you through the journey that, you and she, both are parts of. So, if you’re struggling to manage your thoughts, if you feel lost in a haze, devoid of concentration, this book will help you Reclaim Your Brain and it might just change your life.Like a spider's web decorated with beads of rain, this headline worry serves as a frame for dozens of tangential thoughts that can absorb me, with increasing feelings of anxiety, for hours. These include classics such as: 'I don't even know how to build a fire, surely I would starve even if I managed to hunt a squirrel,' and 'I would need to walk to Yorkshire to find my family, how long would that take from London?' (67 hours, if you go down the A1.) The book is not only relevant for people who suffer from overthinking, but also for anyone who wants to improve their thinking skills and abilities, as well as their creativity, productivity, and performance. Break down the emotions you’re experiencing and try to identify what you’re telling yourself about the situation. Another detrimental flaw was the "real life stories" that were implemented throughout the whole book. There was a few I liked and felt were relate-able, but once a sentence started with "Take Jill for example," I could not help, but roll my eyes and try to prepare myself for an unrealistic circumstance. The stories were like something you would have read in school and to then be tested on. Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
