About this deal

In terms of cons, the tone control is fairly basic , and only allows a certain level of tone shaping, but it does have a good range. In general, I keep it set between 11am and 1pm and find that going outside of this leads to very dark and muddy or ear-piercingly bright. Inspired by the Tiny Terror, our game-changing ‘lunchbox’ amplifier, the diminutive Micro Terror is the original micro amp. SINGLE ECC83 (12AX7) PREAMP VALVE

Orange Micro Terror Guitar Amp Pack with Cables - Gear4music Orange Micro Terror Guitar Amp Pack with Cables - Gear4music

The Orange Micro Terror houses a single 12AX7 pre-amp tube, powering 20 watts RMS of solid-state output. The Micro Terror is powered via a 15-volt DC supplier and features a handy auxiliary input for MP3 player, CD player etc and can be plugged into to any cabinet with 4-ohm or greater handing - it'll even a power a 4 x 12 cabinet... Seriously! So can an amplifier this physically small really deliver the kind of juicy crunch upon which Orange built its reputation?Having said this, the sound could never be described as 'small'. These are louder than any amp this size has a right to be. I have used mine in some big rooms and still had sound guys telling me to turn down. If you're playing in venues with microphones for electric guitar, there'll never be an issue with dialling in a great clean tone. If anything, you'll want to run them a little bit hotter (isn't that always the way with guitarists?) because in my experience the best sounds have been just on the edge of breakup.

Terror Series – Orange Amps Terror Series – Orange Amps

No manual in the box (really surprizing) no warning not to plug into the cab with an instrument lead, no instruction how to replace a valve. Aren't instruction manuals mandatory by the EU law? I generally dial in a fairly transparent clean tone to use as a base for drive pedals, and have found that they work well with pedals. Obviously, there is no effects loop, so that's something to be aware of if you like running pedals through a loop. Weighing in at under 1 kilo, the Micro Terror is arguably the most portable amp head on the market. When paired with its matching PPC108 cabinet, the Micro Terror’s Aux Input and Headphone output make it a perfect practice partner, small enough for even the most cluttered sideboard. Ignore the headphone output, it never sounds good on any orange amps I've tried. Sounds shrill and thin when driven. If you're buying it for headphone practice, don't bother. I'd rather recommend using either Vox AmPlug series or a loadbox with custom IRs for silent practice. Their cab sim tech needs some work. These are a remarkably good amp for their price and size. As an amp for small gigs (or even for bigger events) these perform far beyond what they look like they should be capable of.

An aux input allows a MP3 player or CD player to be added to the mix sent to the speaker making this a perfect tool for practising Since the amps have returned with the original color scheme, they are rightly claiming their niche in the highly competitive amplifier market. Just as before, when countless sizes used these amps, Orange Amplifier builds distinctive sound for people who know exactly what they want. More than capable of powering our largest speaker cabinet, the PPC412 the Micro Terror is compatible with any cab with an impedance of 8 Ohms or greater. AUXILIARY INPUT You could easily do a small pub gig with this amp and there are many videos on the 'the tube' which show how it can easily drive a 4x12. There is also the option to swap out the pre-amp valve for a better one, but until the one in it dies, I am quite happy with the sound.

With a high tensile steel case is it built to the same rugged specifications as the other members of the Terror family and is incredibly compact and highly portable. This is a true Orange Amp classic, with masses of vintage British character, clean crunch and full-on overdrive sounds. Please note: This product does not come with a speaker cable. Please see the related items section for an appropriate cable. Specification This scaled down cab's 8" speaker delivers a punchy tone and sound that has to be heard to be believed. Like all Orange speaker cabs it is built to last using extremely rugged construction and manufacturing techniques and stands out from the crowd with Orange's legendary basket weave Tolex grill cloth, Orange crest and badge. Hot on the heels of such additions to the range as the none-more-metal Dark Terror and the Terror Bass heads comes a pair of new models: the Signature #4 Jim Root unit and Orange's smallest head yet, the impossibly cute Micro Terror.

Despite its incredibly compact size, this is an amp that's most at home on stage or in a soundproof studio. It just sounds better with the volume working harder and the headphone output is a little harsh for sustained solo practice sessions. Orange Amplification's Micro Terror is their smallest Terror ever! Building on the winning recipe of the rest of the popular Terror series, the Micro Terror retains the beautiful unpretentious design, delivering a classic Orange sound way bigger than it looks, with a size and weight making it extremely portable. The tone control is very basic but extreme from ear splitting sharpness to sounding like it is under a dozen pillows. I have combined this with an Orange Two Stroke to drive the front end a bit harder and have a much wider control of the tone shaping and I am in heaven. Great amp, sounds amazing, just a shame it’s not brand new, as advertised, looks slightly ex demo, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
