I used to take around 100 to 200 mg of magnesium citrate to help me sleep better. This did work but it had a laxative effect. I had some blood pressure issues so I switched to magnesium glycinate and upped my amount to 600 to 800 mg a day. This along with upping fruits/veggies & decreasing sugar brought things to normal. Anecdotal for sure but I do feel better in many ways These two books on magnesium or remain in my library and I will never loan amount primarily because I will be referring to them often over the next few years. They are both a wealth of information and should be required reading by anyone who cares about good health.
