This was inspired by the general feeling on that thread that the standard (CD) versions of tool albums, great though they are musically, leave a lot to be desired in terms of sound. So for comparison sake we're comparing the cd played on Naim CD3 versus vinyl on LP12 Cirkus with OL dc200 motor\Origin Live Silver\Linn Troika via MF LP2 mono phono amps\XPSU. Listening through Sennheiser HD600 via World Audio Design HD83 headphone amp. Though the CD3 is a very capable performer it's probably fair to say that it's rather out-gunned here.
