About this deal

So, another perfect book by this author. It never happened for me before that I'm in love with all her books so far. What a nice contemporary romance! I wasn’t really sure what to expect going in especially because I was getting Romeo and Juliet vibes from the synopsis, but I really enjoyed this book!

This is an excellent novel for people who love to read because it has done an amazing job. The author expressed all the characters in a unique way that creates the impression that the reader is also part of the story and knows every detail of all the characters. This would truly be one of the most extraordinary novels. The author has shown great craftsmanship in the novel, this is extraordinary in every sense of the word, only the depth of this book is spectacular, not to mention the diversity and representation and quality of the writing and complex characters. Everything is simply outstanding. The author has shown the same level of skill in previous books such as. Overall, I really enjoyed this book! While there were a few things I didn't love, those things didn't ruin the rest of the book for me. I liked the romance between Mauve and Weston and liked seeing them grow in the relationship.Piper Egan landed her dream job straight out of college—working at Empire Records. But instead of discovering new talent and changing lives, like she’d hoped, her time is spent taking meeting notes and catering to spoiled celebrities. When the chance to change that finally appears, she should be thrilled. The chlorinated kind she swims in. The perennial droplets soaking her adopted hometown. The waves she ventures out on to observe the ocean. C. W. Farnsworth is the author of numerous adult and young adult romance novels featuring sports, strong female leads, and happy endings. Charlotte lives in Rhode Island and when she isn't writing spends her free time reading, at the beach, or snuggling with her Australian Shepard. They confided in each other about the ways of the world, about the issues they faced, and I think if they had been any different in their characters their roles, they never would’ve shared it. I think there’s so much that goes off this by knowing they could be ruined with the information they told, but knowing the other wouldn’t.

The moment she called Wes drunk and he dropped everything to make sure she was okay and THEY WERE BROKEN UP?? I love him more for that. I hate that he pushed her away because he was terrified of losing her and being her second choice, but with his home life it was understandable. The book could have been amazing without all the breakup drama if they had communicated, but I love their relationship . Money buys power, and power always has a price. The fear of those who already possess both? Losing it. The best way to ensure keeping it? Alliances. And elites don’t marry down—they marry equal.

This book started off strong! It started with how our main characters, Mauve and Weston, first met. I liked experiencing this moment rather than hearing about it later in the story. It was also kinda fun to see how the characters differ a little 3 years later. Her success was so overly looked, she won, she played she was involved and they overlooked her like she was nothing. And it pained me, that the world saw her or her family name not of her own achievements. Lastly, I wish I could have gotten to know Mauve’s twin, Liam, a little better. Or he at least could have had more screen time. He’s basically only mentioned in passing until the very end which I was sad about. To be such an important person in Mauve’s life, we hardly ever see him. A torn attraction. A torn love, rippled by the bare hands of their loved ones. Maeve and Wes meet and the attraction starts their, even though they know of the disappointment and anger they would face from their rivaling towns. She’s from the wrong side of the field, and he’s playing the wrong sport, the opposing sport of her own twin. If my feelings for Maeve have taught me anything, it’s that sometimes you love the people you shouldn’t. Because I do. Love her. Even though there are a lot of reasons why I probably shouldn’t.
