The resemblance is truly uncanny and even the bottle shapes of both and colour scheme of the bottles and caps are very very similar... I first bought Hollister SoCal in college. At the time, I was about 19 years old and actually wore clothes from the store. SoCal was and still is the scent that is sprayed on the clothes. Even though I don't wear Hollister anymore, I still wear the cologne nostalgically. This is a summer cologne that reminds me of the beach - not the water itself, but the experience of basking in the sunlight on a hot but relaxed afternoon. Very slight Invictus vibe but not as much as Zara Seoul or A&F First Instict Together. It smells good but not amazing. I prefer A&F First Instict Together over this. I'll give it 6/10.

Wave 2 For Him by Hollister is a Aromatic Fougere fragrance for men. Wave 2 For Him was launched in 2017. Top notes are Ozonic notes, Bergamot and White Pepper; middle notes are Geranium, Lavender and Sage; base notes are Musk, Woody Notes and Sandalwood. This smells almost identical to Lomani signature if you are looking for a more reasonably priced alternative and can locate it. I note it isn't in the catalogue on here.

Honestly, the original Hollister Wave is the only one I recommend. Wave 2 and Free Wave just pale in comparison since they're not aquatic/sweet enough. This smells very nice and summerish. Actually, the first thing my male friend said was: "oh yummy, this smells like the beach! ". So the name is not totally wrong. The juice and opening are a little weird at first. Smells very sweet and synthetic at first. But then dries down to this alluring sweet masculine musk. Its longevity on skin is actually decent I get about 6-7 hours. But it's a skin scent for its entire life cycle. The silage of Wave 2 is with in about arms reach. But in all honesty it makes the cologne that much cooler. Because it mysteriously and charmingly takes you by surprise.Knowing the target of Hollister, I was not expecting a sophisticated, gourmand fragrance. Yet, it has a special appeal, it smells like other fragrances out there, but it's " hypnotic" in a way, feels clean, masculine, leathery, slightly herbal with a touch of sweetness. It took me by surprise when I realized that this fragrance gets better as it gets closer to the middle notes and dry down. Like a grown up cologne, who knew! Reminds me very strongly of the white tea Solinotes fragrance (The Blanc), at least in the top/mid. It's nonchalantly good. It's one of those colognes wore by a non-collector. That you ask what are you wearing? And they say "Some Hollister stuff." And you're thinking damn what Hollister stuff smell like that? And you wonder is that person lying to you. 😂 Funny enough the bottle is just labeled Hollister California. So once you disregard the box you could easily forget the name of the stuff. This is a great value for a clean, interesting shower scent. It holds well with a light spray in my experience. It starts out very zesty and zingy, and becomes more "Hollister store" unisex as it develops. I personally feel this smells quite expensive as freshies go, rather than smelling like a typical citrus body mist from the drugstore. The fragrance opens with an electric spark of juicy citruses notes. Making way for wild orchid, sunset hibiscus and California Poppy. Warm, enveloping woods and amber create the perfect balance in the base illustrating the warm summers evening. Product Specification

A fragrance worn all throughout my teenage years. This was THE fragrance to wear right behind Abercrombie & Fitch's Fierce, which would capture the attention of everyone within a few feet of you. This fragrance smells very clean and fresh with a hint of muskiness to it and can be worn all day and even into the night when the sun starts to set.Perfect for summer work days, or after shower (anytime of year) because it is cheap, and it is mild. its nice to go to bed smelling like this.

It turns a bit salty after a couple of minutes. Maybe a touch of coconut if you try really, really hard to convince yourself it’s there. UPDATE: I've had this listed but not sold yet, and something possessed me to pull it out again today. I immediately de-listed it. This is SO nice! Very pretty, although a little thin, longevity is not the worst (I can smell it for at least 5-6 hours) but it doesn't smell like a proper perfume no matter how much I spray on, too watered down. I like how I can layer it with matching body spray and use a ton, sometimes that's what I want, but with this one I could spill the entire bottle on myself and it would probably still not be enough. THE definition of a hidden gem! It's so damn good but no one mentions it and you never see it on any lists. To me Socal for men smells clean, citrus, fresh, & sweet musk. An easy, everyday, crowd pleaser forsure. Personally, its so fresh and clean I can see this being unisex as well.I literally don't dislike anything about this fragrance. The longevity, sillage, concentration, and scent are all perfect to me. It's a outstanding sweet men's cologne.
