As a lower price 18 year old for Aunties to buy for the 18th Birthday of nephews (& nieces !) it is smooth and universally acceptable for new drinkers. This might not be my favourite style of whisky, and for me It’s not worth the money. Still it’s a a very enjoyable drink, preferably after dinner. Certainly nothing is to be expected with this drinking strength. But he does everything right with Apple Helene and spicy nuts without becoming bitter. Light fruits also come through. All things considered, there is nothing regrettable about this release. There is some oak there, but the nose remains sweet. No bitterness. Roasted almonds come through and still no stinging alcohol. Wow, good barrel choice. This malt should be tested together with the standard 18. In a direct comparison it shows its mass compatibility. Others would say it's too boring. I would say this is exactly the bottle that should not be missing in any household. An absolute all-rounder with no rough edges. Very independent with a distillery character. I think it's well done.
