About this deal

This air cooler is an unusual entry in our list—the only one not built by a familiar industry leader. The Alseye DR900 is the lowest-priced cooler in this group, but its features and value make it an enticing option if you're working on a budget build for which you want equal parts bling and cooling. The former flair comes in the form of three standard 90mm PWM fans with RGB LED lighting.

To test each cooler at idle, the minimum temperature is taken after leaving the PC with only start-up programs on Windows 10 being allowed to run for 5 minutes. After this, the minimum temperature with the core temperature being offset against the room temperature; thus achieving delta. Load Testing Methodology Not only does Corsair's iCUE H100i Elite Capellix cooler have an enticing aesthetic design, it also has one of the lowest-rated noise production levels that we've seen on a CPU water cooler. To be fair, the cooler can get a bit loud when the fans and pump are operating at full speed—when everything's revved up, Corsair says, the noise can climb to 37dBA. At ideal temperatures, however, the Elite Capellix is rated for as little as 10dBA, which is practically inaudible assuming the number holds in your specific build. It's a common mistake to assume that any water cooler is inherently better than any air cooler. Liquid coolers do have some undeniable advantages, but a specific cooler's design is critically important, and some air coolers perform better than some water coolers. Generally speaking, you can expect bigger coolers of either design to outperform smaller ones, simply because larger coolers generally have more metal within to spread out absorbed heat and can typically mount more or bigger fans. Both of these factors contribute to more efficient cooling.\ The design is nothing ground breaking, but the beauty of the Frostflow+ 280 is in it’s simplicity. The monochrome looks of the white LED’s on the pump, and the white fans blades, means it will fit into just about any colour build the end user has.Immersive ARGB Lighting, 360mm Radiator; Extra Cooling Fan, Innovative pump control system, Enhanced Pump Design; Universal Compatibility RGB Sync with motherboard, 120mm Radiator, Copper Base High Pressure Pump,Premium Sleeved Tubing, TR4 Compatible

Right, I understand the benchmarking approach and the metrics involved, but two people have told me that the Frostflow 150, specifically, is not sufficient (one even telling me a number - 65w). As its a PCS own brand type scenario, there is no detailed information online about this cooler, I have not seen it in any benchmarks and searches come up dry. The PCS Coolers generally aren't recommended as you can probably tell. The Hyper 212 will do a good job, it's what I have on my i7-8700 and I get mid to high 60 degress on games which is a decent temp under load. Comet-Tail LED, 240mm Radiator, Copper Base, Dual High Pressure Pump, High Static Pressure Fan, Wide Compatibility

This is my build and I'm deciding if i need to spend the extra money between the PCS FROSTFLOW 360 SERIES ARGB COOLER or CORSAIR H150I RGB PRO XT CPU COOLER, which one is better? the same? or performance? The one down side that I witnessed was that the pump is fairly noisy. This was perhaps exaggerated by running it on our open-air test bench, and it wouldn’t be as distracting when installed into a case, but it was still the loudest I have come across for quite a while. Design The Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 (and the almost identical SE version) are the improved successors to the Peerless Assassin series that shook the market last year. In all but the most demanding scenarios, they will perform just as well as the best CPU coolers on the market, while remaining just as quiet, for less than half the price.

Moving onto the 280mm radiator, and again we see a no-frills design. Made of aluminium, and featuring a simple splash of branding to the side of the unit, its apparent that the finished look once inside your case is going to be a fairly understated look. One positive thing to note with the radiator is that the fin density looks to be really good, which should help with the dissipation of heat when in operation.

The more powerful your CPU is, the bigger and better cooler you'll need, no surprises there. If your desktop PC needs a lot of power and you travel with it, you're likely to feel safer with a radiator that's attached to your case via 8 or 12 screws than with a huge chunk of metal hanging off your motherboard.

When powered up and dependant on your choice of colour for the Frostflow 240L, the outer ring with the LED panels will illuminate in a circular motion. This may not be to everyone’s taste and as there aren’t any additional settings or modes available, this is what you get and if you don’t like it, tough! Liquid Series® Water Cooled PCs from PCSpecialist offer the highest level of technology and engineering. Keep your components running cool and quiet with a water cooled gaming pc. Regular visitors to Play3r will know that we have been impressed with the two 240mm AIO coolers that we have been sent by ID-Cooling to date… namely the FrostFlow 240Land the ICEKIMO 240W. This time we have one of the 120mm varieties on the test bench in the shape of the FrostFlow 120. Does half the size equal half the performance? Or will it rub shoulders with its bigger brothers on the Play3r CPU cooling charts? It should also be noted that the reason we omit acoustic/noise testing is due to an inaccuracy within the readings and method. To provide truly accurate readings, you need a lab setting with the same ambient noise on an hour by hour, day by day and week by week basis. As ambient noise can increase at different times of the day, we believe that it’s pointless providing noise testing if we can’t measure consistent and accurate data due to our office being a busy setting. Test SetupComet-Tail LED, 240mm Radiator, Copper Base, High Pressure Pump, High Static Pressure Fan, Wide Compatibility Just received my PC today, was wondering if there is a way to control the RGB lights on the case, the processor cooling and the RAM in my PC? I want to control the case more than anything, it has all colours showing when the system is booting up but after that it just flashes red continously. I have posted my full specs below. Many thanks in advance! Also, their own tutorial for Aura Creator shows the temperature dependent function - but it doesn't actually exist for any user it seems. The default one under Armoury Crate just changes to three colours Green, Yellow or Red, at temperatures that you can adjust. But you can't adjust the the colours or brightness and it doesn't blend between them - just instantly changes as it crosses the temp threhsold. The previous three AIO coolers we have tested have all performed really well, and all have walked away with our recommended award. This time we have our first 280mm variant from ID-Cooling, that comes with the promise of the very best value for money possible, without compromising on performance. It looks like a pair of very standard 120mm case fans. I'd expect any other good quality fan would be entirely compatible. Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 fans might be a good option, or the Noctua NF-P12 for a little more.
