The only similarity is our love of animals! When I was little, I was always out playing things: like Doctor Who and Batman. I’d leave the house in the summer holidays at 8:30am and I’d come home at 5pm looking absolutely filthy! Paul O'Grady (June 1955 - March 2023) first came to fame in the guise of Lily Savage, and was nominated for a Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1991. Lily later became a regular on many TV shows but has now retired (reportedly).

She helps Eddie come out of his shell and he soon befriends Flo, the girl next door. I love animals and have watched some of Paul O'Grady's programmes so I was excited when I saw this book by him. It's a great story about a boy called Eddie who can talk to animals. He has a dog who he can talk to and along with his other pets, they get into an adventure which is funny and gripping at the same time. There is a villain in the book who Eddie and his Aunt have to defeat and it's great that there are plenty of laughs as well as a brilliant storyline. I really wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next and couldn't put the book down! You will love this book if you love animals and enjoy a good adventure story, along with comedy....
