About this deal

I am a serial dyer of cashmere, I did 4 items in the last few weeks. IME the colours tend to come out quite muted, but I generally go for darker colours. My favourite of the last batch is a cream jumper that I dyed with red and ended up a gorgeous muted raspberry red. Coloursafe formula: Colors, whites and delicate laundry like wool and silk can be treated together safely

Put the bowl into a plastic bag or plastic wrap and place in the microwave. Set on ‘high’ for 4 minutes. Please note, to produce the best and most vibrant results we recommend using Dylon Pre Dye to remove colour from fabric so that it is suitable for dyeing to a lighter colour. Dylon Dyes are not suitable for use with polyester, nylon and synthetic fabrics.Wearing rubber gloves, empty the dye carefully into the bowl and gradually add 250 ml / ½ pint of hot water. Stir thoroughly to ensure dye is dissolved. Add further 250 ml / ½ pint of water. Wake up your wardrobe with this Dylon Hand Fabric Dye! Perfect for reviving faded clothing or brightening up cushion covers with colour and ease! Pebbles smoothed by the flow of water and the passage of time have a wonderful calming quality. Inspired by pebbles collected at the seashore and rivers edge. This soft neutral shade captures this relaxing sense of calm. Pair it with darker and more intense shades for a completely balanced look. Suitable fabrics: Cotton, linen and viscose. Wool, Silk, Polyester/cotton and polyester/viscose mixes will dye to lighter shade Suitable for hand wash and machine wash: Works for all washing machines types including top and front loaders

They're more of a faff than machine dyes cos you can't walk away and leave them. Some have turned out really well but as you say, sometimes the stitching doesn't dye, leaving that two tone effect. I doubt whether Zara would use wool stitching so that's quite likely to happen. Update a dress, renew faded denim or change the colour of your bath towels – with Dylon Dyes refreshing your clothes and accessories has never been easier.
