I read in your article that you advise to use the Denon SC-M41 with it but for nearly the same price I can have a bundle of the RCD-M41 with a pair of Dali Spektor 1 or Spektor 2. It's only rated at 2x30 watt 1khz in 6 ohm but this amp sound much bigger, musical,dynamic and with my Mission QX-2 im surprised of how much bass there is and how loud i can play, 20 out of 50 is loud, i keep it around 12-18, 30 is party level (using it together with my pc) and despite having read a review saying it, i feel it's got good control over the music even when there is alot going on it doesn't sound muddy uncontrolled. My speaker are Mission QX-2 and im really surprised how good it sound 88db and goes down to 44hz and 3.6 ohm, diespte that the denon amp handles the speaker perfect, no problem what so ever when my speaker goes below 4 ohm, deep well controlled bass, good balance of the high that would surprise many since the top isn't bright as many would think when you think of denon amps. But if Denon has redesigned the interior of its micro system, the same cannot be said of the façade. At a glance, the only way to tell the D-M41DAB apart from its predecessor is the CD drive and display screen have swapped places, so that the former sits above the latter – as it did prior to the D-M39.

The new M41 adds a whole new sonic presence and dimension, matched with my award-winning Wharfedale 11.2 stand mounts and a 10" Sub, this little giant killer is a must to behold. You know what they say, you never know what the future M42 could bring to the mix or lose in that regard. Sometimes they add few bits but drop few in the process too. If you're after built-in WiFi (which isn't a guarantee they will finally include it in the M42) you could wait, but if you are after sound quality and performance - the M41 is it! Cheers.
