I am speechless after reading this book. Very dark with vibes of Rosemary's baby and so much more. So well written and the fear that the mother endures is palpable. This read was not what I was expecting it literally blew me away. Paranoia, terrifying and the impending birth. A horror story about pregnancy is the only the beginning. Loved It!!!!!

One of the remarkable aspects of “Delicate Condition” is its exploration of sensitive issues like miscarriage. This adds depth to the story, making it not only a horrifying tale but also a thought-provoking exploration of the emotional and psychological toll of fertility struggles. So much so that Anna begins to wonder if someone, somehow, is interfering with her body – does someone not want her to have this baby? I don’t want to say what aspect of horror this is for spoiler purposes, but it’s not a horror sub-genre that I usually go for. With this book, I absolutely loved it. This book starts as a thriller, then crescendos into horror as the book goes on. It has really cool little stories from centuries ago interspersed, of women who have also been affected by Anna’s maladies, and that just added to the suspense. So far, there is no confirmed date for the return of AHS: Delicate, but it has been confirmed to be returning at some point in 2024.
