Happily Ever After: Companion to the Selection Series by

I'm not going to lie: I feel bad for Lucy. Aspen was kind of a jerk. Not like a mean jerk, but Lucy asked him if he still had feelings for America and such and he told her that "no" but his instinct to protect her would always be there. It makes sense, but that comment really hurt Lucy. She told him to leave her alone, but he didn't. It worked out in the end, but I still wasn't feeling it. Oh boy, I really despised Celeste throughout The Selection series but she won me over in The One. Celeste was the main villain in The Selection series and I gotta admit I loved hating her... but I loved getting to love her even more. I just wish she would have realized all her errors much sooner than she did because I would have loved to have so much more from her. In The Selection we meet this mean, manipulative, vindictive, bitter girl who was there for all the WRONG reasons. But once she realizes all her stupid petting mistakes we get to see a whole other side to her. We get to see her vulnerability and kindness and her chance at redemption. She turns out to be such a wonderfully sweet person and an even better friend to America. I love getting to see Celeste grow out of it and the ending to The One seriously Broke. My. Heart! We want the happy ending, we need it, and we deserve it. Life is stressful and hard and we want this escape. We need to see love claim victory over everything else. We’ve invested time and money and emotional capital in a book labeled “Romance” and we deserve the happiness promised to us by that label. The Queen - I thought this section was very interesting, but Amberly is very naive and the romance was so dry. It’s like one day they met, they next they get married. And also Amberly had no reason to be helplessly in love with Clarkson. I also hate how Clarkson chose the girl who listened to him the most...I find that a bit controlling. I wish we got a peek in Clarkson’s head. Get ready for the ultimate pamper night in – The Book and Pamper box contains everything you need for the perfect self treat:

I'd studied her face in a dozen shades of light, in a thousand stolen moments. With her words, I knew without a doubt: she loved me." I’d rather have my last memory be of his death than suffer knowing that his last memory was of mine.” I mean, yeah okay, the author said it was more like comedy romantic in a fantasy land, so I guess expecting more fantasy is a lot, while it's the third sub-genre or something. To say that a big secret was revealed in Romancing Mister Bridgerton would be a major understatement. But Eloise Bridgerton – one of the book’s most important secondary characters – left town before all of London learned the truth about Lady Whistledown. Many of my readers expected a scene in the next book ( To Sir Phillip, With Love) that showed Eloise “finding out,” but there was no way to fit such a scene in the book. Eventually, however, Eloise would have to know, and that’s where the 2nd Epilogue comes in… Start reading from Romancing Mister Bridgerton, Book 4 in the Bridgerton series. It was really an effort not to cry at her scenes, especially when she talks about her future and I really wish that I could have read about her making real friends, and developing her friendship with America :( But then Arek has to go on and get a "boner" for another person. Several "boners" maybe...and he thinks that's totally cool. Another sequel and prequel were in development in 2021. [17] In 2023, Voltage Pictures said that After Everything is the fifth and final chapter of the franchise. When I write 2nd Epilogues, I try to answer readers’ lingering questions. In the case of On the Way to the Wedding, the question I heard the most post-publication was: What did Gregory and Lucy name all those babies? I’ll admit that even I don’t know how to craft a story revolving around the naming of nine infants (not all at once, thank heavens), so I decided to start the 2nd Epilogue right where the 1st Epilogue ends—with Lucy giving birth for the last time. And because everyone —even the Bridgertons— must face hardship, I didn’t make it easy… Start reading from On the Way to the Wedding, Book 8 in the Bridgerton series.

After Ever Happy was released in Italy on August 22, 2022, in Europe from August 24, 2022, and was released in the United States on September 7, by Voltage Pictures. [3] It was followed by the final installment in the series, After Everything, in 2023. [4] Plot [ edit ] a cute story and one i did enjoy. but i cant help but think this could have been better if it had included all of the stuff that happened before the “after.”But when prophecy-fulfilling Arek was dared to remove the bloody crown from the lopped-off head and put it on, he had no idea of the magical, permanent requirement that he'd be required to fulfill. Or die. And soon. This is full of scenes of where the girls from the Elite: Natalie, Kriss, and Elise, go from after the Selection. It was interesting to see how their futures happened, though I do wish we could see other girls from the Selection, such as Bariel, Anna, and all of the other more important ones. In September 2020, a feature film adaptation of After Ever Happy was announced to be in development. Developed at the same time as After We Fell, the films were announced to be directed by Castille Landon with Sharon Soboil serving as a screenwriter. Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin were confirmed to reprise their roles as Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively. [5] [6] Filming [ edit ] Clarkson was evil. Everything he did was for power and for himself, not for the country. It was mentioned that if the Southern Rebels came to power, everything they would do would be for power.....Doesn't sound too different from Clarkson. I hate him from the bottom of my heart!!! Aspen and Lucy bonding over their hardships was tough for me to take. I ship them so much, and I’m really glad to see that things worked out for them. Absolutely wonderful novella.

The selection series is such an easy/chill read 100% recommend for something light hearted, but please buy second hand and educate yourself on its poor representation and the repercussions that this has!! I really despised Celeste throughout The Selection series but she won me over in The One. Celeste was the main villain in The Selection series and I gotta admit I loved hating her... but I loved getting to love her even more. I just wish she would have realized all her errors much sooner than she did because I would have loved to have more time with her. In The Selection, we meet this mean, manipulative and vindictive girl who was there for all the WRONG reasons. Now, let's move to the part where I talk about the defaults and errors of this book. The romance is shitty. Sorry for straight up calling it shitty, but it actually is. There are lots of moments of pinning and miscommunication. The main couple talk to each other about everything but their feelings. They have such an easy and funny banter going on, yet all in vain. They don't get together until the very last chapter or so. I know the characters are young, they aren't supposed to act with maturity...still it was too much for me to handle. They defeat the biggest evil, they rule the entire Kingdom, yet they act like the stupidest persons in the world. At times, I thought they (specially Arek) don't even deserve to be the rules (or King in Arek's case). The characters are easily forgettable and do not have much of any sorta personality. Truly underwhelming and disappointing. I've just taken out a subscription as a gift for my mum and she's received her first box. It's great, 3 excellent titles that I can't wait to read after her. And a pretty little gift surprise as an added extra. Customer service is excellent too as we had a small problem with the initial delivery but after a swift response the issue was sorted. No complaints and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend! The book began at the very end of what we're told was an exciting and arduous campaign to fulfill a prophecy, with the Vile One's head freshly separated from his body.
