About this deal

Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist. Beneath that, you get the sweetness of raspberries and a faint hint of juniper. Perhaps because I am prone to being clumsy with my gin…! The bottle top features an old fashioned coin design with a crown in the centre. Down the sides of the bottle is the word ‘BOODLES’ which is slightly embossed. These ingredients add a mellow but herbal quality to Boodles, which balances out the essential piney notes from juniper.

In a tumbler shave a handful of clear ice. Pour one part Boodles Gin and two parts tonic, then stir. Massage the peppermint to release the aromas, add to the glass and serve. An alpine sharpener delivering complete refreshment.

You might expect a costlier price tag, but, despite its intricate ingredients, Cruxland won’t break the bank. The collaboration with Cornwall’s Sharp’s Brewery uses three different hops in the distillation process, alongside the usual botanicals. Gin has been rising in popularity for a number of years now, with many specialist gin bars opening across the country. Boodles was named after Boodle's gentlemen's club in St. James's, London, founded in 1762 and originally run by Edward Boodle. It was reputed to be the favourite gin of the club's most famous member, Winston Churchill, [1] though the same has been claimed for Plymouth Gin. [2] If on inspection there is any damage or shortage it is imperative that this is noted on the delivery note at the time of delivery as claims will not be considered if this is not completed. Both are fantastic but our favourite is definitely the proper punch! It works so well as a winter warmer and is just ideal for this time of year. If you’re after something a little different for Christmas, I would certainly give this new gin a go!
