About this deal

Free of parabens and sulfates, this hair treatment builds bonds in the hair to repair at a molecular level. The solution promises to work after only one treatment, but you can apply later as often as needed to get results. The formula comes in a nearly 7-ounce jar. Color-treated hair can tend to be more porous than hair that hasn’t been exposed to these chemicals. That porosity can make hair more sensitive to hair products, heat and the environment. We're sure it'll come as no surprise that we've chosen an Olaplex product for our top spot! Not only are they the market leaders, but all of their formulas are 100% cruelty-free and vegan. As we mentioned earlier, Olaplex use a patented restorative ingredient (bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate) which is scientifically proven to be 68% more effective than other bonding treatments at repairing your hair. The No.7 bonding oil by Olaplex is a nourishing, frizz-reducing formula that leaves your tresses feeling silky smooth. Thanks tothe inclusion of bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate, it expertly repairs the damage caused by colouring, bleaching or heated tools. It even protects hairagainst heat up to 450°, so we recommend using it as part of your daily styling routine. Who doesn’t want strong, healthy, fabulous hair? I’m always on the hunt for products that combat the cruelty I inflict on my poor strands and recently did a test-drive of the new BoldPlex range that claims to do just that. I was sent this new range of hair strengthening products from a company called BoldUniq. My hair story

Bold Uniq got in touch and asked me try their products and do a review. I’ll be honest - I was skeptical. I’d never heard of the company and I’m quite a loyal user of Olpalex products. The Inkey List has become a staple of the skincare scene in recent years, but did you know they make hair products too? This lightweight spray contains both PCA andhydrolyzed pea protein, whichnot only repair hydrogen and ionic bonds but also protect existing disulphide bonds from damage.A daily revitalizing shampoo that will cleanse and strengthen bonds between salon visits and styling, so you can hold onto your favourite shade and style without the fear of damaging your hair beyond repair. A recommendation service that carefully researches each product and consults with experts across many disciplines. Philip Kingsley's bonding treatment focuses specifically on sealing split ends. It also uses hydrolyzed oat protein to repair broken bonds and strengthen existing ones. Plus, it aids moisture retention, resulting in visibly healthier hair with added shine.

Protein treatments can dry out the hair, so many products will build in conditioning ingredients to make sure you’re not furthering the problem. Revolution Haircare's Plex range is made up of four formulas (steps 3, 4, 5 and 6) that contain a triple weight molecular protein system that targets different layers of the hair fibre to help restore and strengthen your strands from within. Now for the technical bit. The protein system is made up of three types of plant protein that target different parts of the hair fibre – phytantriol and provitamin B5 work together to keep the hair nice and hydrated and healthy, whilst a blend of conditioning agents help soften and smooth the hair. Suitable for all hair types, steps 3, 4, 5 and 6 treatments are all SLS and SLES free, as well as being cruelty-free and vegan, too! SHAMPOO – Hair must be clean before application. For the ultimate in hair repair - we recommend BOLDPLEX Bond Strengthening Shampoo No.4.OGX is one of the UK's favourite haircare brands, thanks to their SLS-free formulas and the unique combination of fragrance oils that makes their products smell divine! Their bonding plex conditioner contains a blend of cysteine and hydrolyzed vegetable protein, which helps to strengthen strands and smooth split ends.

Some treatments rely on natural ingredients. Yogurt has both protein and moisturizing properties, so you may find it’s a viable option. I actually really like this range. I think the No 3 treatment is as good as the Olaplex and you get twice the amount of product for the same price. To me, that’s a no-brainer.Start the repair process as soon as you step into the shower with thisKera-Creathanol complex shampoo from the experts at The Hair Lab by Mark Hill. Creatine and hydrolyzed vegetable protein strengthen your hair's internal keratin bonds, leaving it feeling physically stronger from the very first wash.

This where things start to get funny. The names they’ve given to the products directly come from Olaplex’s naming structure. The treatment is No 3, shampoo No 4 and conditioner No 5. Olaplex does this because No 1 and No 2 products are for salons only. So in my opinion, it makes absolutely no sense for the Bold Uniq to use the numbers 3, 4 and 5 other than to say….Olaplex, we’re coming for you. It’s important not to overtreat your hair, as protein treatments can damage your hair with overuse. Only do protein treatments when your hair needs it, and always allow for at least a week between treatments.Maria is a Junior Brand Manager for Revolution Skincare and Haircare. When she's not creating content, you'll find her experimenting with makeup and skincare on her own channels, creating dotwork drawings, perfecting I’d be very interested to hear if Bold Uniq intend to grow the range. I’d be interested in styling products, maybe an overnight leave-in mask.
