I'm torn on how to rate this one. I loved the start, and was on board 100% finding it hard to stop listening. I was worried and anxious to get to the end. And, as feared, it took a very wimpy turn about an hour before the end. It tried to ramp up the [predictable] action, but it wasn't enough for me to salvage the weak turn it took. So, anti-climatic is the best I can say. Patterson knows where our deepest fears are buried... there's no stopping his imagination. The even bigger problem is that President Barrett has an even bigger master plan that he is working on and Liam and Noa are only two of the players that he is manipulating to put that plan into action. It was too long, too much jumping around between story lines - with short chapters I don’t think it was effective.
